Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed since our last stay We stayed at this property approximatley 4-5 years ago so that is why I chose it again when we needed a hotel in the East Ridge area. The location is great for on and off interstate and seeing the sites in Chattanooga. The staff, check in and general appearance was fine as this is an older property. When we got to our room, I had to wipe up the desk and night stand...both having drink rings and sticky surface. The bigger issue was the bathroom floor. We spilled some water and when I went to wipe it up, I could not believe the dirt on the wash cloth. So, I proceeded to wipe up the entire floor before we even attempted to shower. It makes me wonder if the floors are mopped or wiped up after each guest checks out. This bathroom floor was cleaner when I left than when we arrived. Sorry to have to post this but felt you should know. September 25, 2015

Everyone we met, even just passing in the halls, smiled and greeted us and acted like they wanted us to enjoy our stay. The rooms were quiet and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast had a good variety of items available. I have celiac disease and a couple of gluten-free items in addition to eggs would have been nice, but with a refrigerator and microwave in the room, I managed quite well. The one improvement I would suggest is to install a handrail at the steps at the back entry. There are only two steps, but it's a little awkward for anyone with mild mobility issues. We ended up parking near the main entrance and entering through the lobby. September 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by End of Summer Vacation My husband and I travel a lot, Chattanooga, TN is by far the WORST Holiday Inn Express we've ever stayed in. The bed was sagging, there was no dust cover, all the wood furniture had a sticky/tacky feeling to it, two of the washcloths were badly stained, and the tub/shower walls were nasty in the corners. We paid WAY to much for this room...., yet we stayed in at Holiday Inn, in Lake City Florida for $15.00 more, which had a tiki bar, heated pool, hot tub, and a sauna!!! September 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good standard holliday inn express this is what you would expect at holiday in express. clean room, friendly staff, free good breakfast. one problem I encountered is the swimming pool door wouldn't open. eventually the staff opened it, but I waited there for quite a while. the AC in the room is loud, but not louder than other holiday in express i stayed in. just standard loud. overall, good hotel, it meets the holiday in express standard September 10, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smoke alarm beeped (low battery) through the night Sometime during the early hours of the morning of 9/2 the smoke alarm in my room went into low battery mode, meaning it emitted a shrill beep once a minute. This had the effect of waking me partially, but not fully, so that my sleep was constantly interrupted. The result was a terrible night's sleep, which did not help me at the client that day. I complained to the front desk in the morning and was told that management doesn't replace the batteries on a preventive schedule but instead waits for customers to complain(!). The attendant apologized and said my bill would be "taken care of." When I checked my Amex statement later I found that I had been charged full price for the night. If you are considering staying at this hotel I suggest you consider the fact that a) this could happen to you and b) if it does they won't comp your bill. Amazing. September 8, 2015
