You must not leave our area without seeing the 14,110 foot summit at Pikes Peak Mountain. The Pikes Peak Highway entrance is conveniently located 15 minutes west of Colorado Springs on Highway 24. Plan for your round trip journey to the summit to take 2-3 hours by car. You can also take the Pikes Peak COG Railway, the world's highest cog train that takes families to the 14110 foot summit.
Colorado Springs offers more than 55 area attractions, including trains, museums, parks, a zoo and more. We highly recommend seeing the beauty of the Garden of the Gods and spending time at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo which is spread out over 146 acres, and houses 550 animals representing 119 species.
