Slide Rock State Park

Situated below an apple orchard and surrounded by the red rocks of Sedona's Oak Creek, Slide Rock is an 80 foot long, 3 foot wide, natural water slide. Escape the desert heat in summer or catch the leaves changing in the fall at this year round state park. Slide Rock includes a .5 mile of Oak Creek that is open for swimming, wading, and sliding. Devil's Bridge Trail

Devil's Bridge is the largest natural sandstone arch in the Sedona area. Don't let its name fool you: it's one of the most heavenly sights in an area famous for them. From a trailhead elevation of 4,600 feet, there's a mere 400 foot climb in altitude during this moderately difficult, 1.8-mile roundtrip trek. The journey to reach the top won't leave you breathless, but the views you'll witness when you finally get there just might. Start hiking early to experience sunrise surrounded by red rocks.

Chapel of the Holy Cross

The Chapel of the Holy Cross is an architectural wonder and fully operational place of worship. Sitting high atop the red rocks in Sedona, Arizona, the windows face west with magnificent views of sunset. The Chapel was inspired and commissioned by local rancher and sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude. Richard Hein was chosen as project architect, and the design was executed by architect August K. Strotz. The chapel is built on Coconino National Forest land and was completed in 1956.
