First off, when we checked into our room, there was a terrible smell throughout. I had to go ask the front desk clerk for some type of deodorizer to help mask the smell. Secondly, after I gave our kids a shower and were getting ready for bed, there was a spider crawling on the wall. Lastly, on our last day there, I took my two five year olds to the pool. There were a two people out there smoking with a teenager. After a few minutes, they departed and shortly after, I was approached by the hotel clerk saying that she had to file a complaint about me, because I was not a guest and it was brought to her attention, by the older group that had just left. I gave her my room number and told her that we had been there for two days and she was the one that checked us in. It was frustrating being approached in front of my kids like I had did something wrong. I understand that she was doing her job, but I saw her multiple times during our stay. I usually write good reviews about IHG hotels, but after the odor from our room, the bugs in the room and a complaint that should not have happened, I cant give a positive review this time around. Also, I am a gold member, and this was the first time I was not greeted as an awards member.

Very clean, convenient. Helpful staff, nice great room. We will definitely choose to stay here in the future.
