Fengjia Night Market

Rainbow Village is located at Lane 56, Chun'an Road, Nantun District, Taichung City. All of the paintings on the house walls here were made by Grandpa Rainbow, Mr. Huang Yung-Fu. The colorful artworks show elements of the village and Grandpa Rainbow's creativity, full of childlike fun. Visitors from all over the world have come here to take pictures of the art. The village is a highly popular tourist attraction in Taichung.

National Taichung Theater

The National Taichung Theater was designed by Japanese architect Ito Toyo. Based on the "sound cave" concept, elements such as curved-wall units and air holes are used to build this changed space. The result is a newfound building that stands on its own firmly without supporting pillars or 90-degree walls at all.

Gaomei Wetland

The wetlands here are over 300 hectares, but the area is only 1/10 of Dadu River wetlands. The geography is divided into 7 categories, which results in diversified organisms in this area. Gaomei Wetlands is one of the few places that have wild ducks. Despite the small area, Gaomei Wetlands have special soils mixed with mud and sand. Ecology here breeds diversified organisms of both plants and animals. Research shows that animals here include birds, fishes, crabs and invertebrates.

National Taiwan Museum of Comics

Opened in Taichung in December 2023, the National Taiwan Museum of Comics is one of Taiwan’s newest tourist attractions, with many more sections to open in 2024. Chock full of comic-book attractions, archives and exhibitions, the entire site will continue to expand until it fully opens in 2029.

National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, which opened in 1988, has a total of 24 exhibition halls. The museum regularly holds exhibitions of Western art, Chinese brush paintings, and sculpture, and has its own collection of valuable pieces of art. Residents can relax in the garden outside the museum.

Calligraphy Greenway Shopping Area

Calligraphy Greenway is a tree-lined boulevard stretching from National Museum of Natural Science south to the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung City. A popular leisure spot for city residents, the boulevard gains its name from its calligraphy-inspired design. Landscape art and a waterscape mist sculpture further add to the literary spirit here.
