Perfect location, comfortable bed, quality bathroom amenities, exemplary guest services, (thank you Mike and Steve and the woman receptionist), good breakfast selections, overall excellent choice. Will definitely return!

Room was clean and the breakfast options are great. The rate on the website was for a pet friendly room, which I thought would include the pet. However, there was an additional charge per night for the pet. Staff member advised me it was a hold charge and would be refunded upon check out a different staff member said would not be refunded as it was charged undercover fee.

Very comfortable bed. Room was large and spacious. However, room faced the interstate. Trucks on highway were loud all night and it was noisy in the room. Would have preferred a room not facing highway had I known beforehand.
Bathroom was bright and large.

For being relatively new this Holiday Inn express was a major disappoint. The room was dirty, there was mud tracked in the hallway, no maid service in 4 days.
Pictures on website were totally misleading.

At the end of a long day, we walked into the hotel lobby and the front desk employee - Wes - was calm and collected all the information he needed about our IHG membership. He arranged a room that enabled us to view our car as it was packed after our 25th winter in Florida. Our experience was so pleasant from the clean well equipped room , wifi, television quality , king bed, and topped with the dining room cleanliness and totally organized with hot enjoyable breakfast. We had a great conversation with the breakfast employee as we were leaving.
We departed the property feeling super satisfied.

My wife and I really enjoyed the newer hotel. Very friendly staff and very clean comfortable rooms with a very comfortable bed. Also pet friendly for our frenchy, who also received a welcome package including treats. I would recommend adding a waffle machine and bacon to the already good breakfast
Security issues

The deadbolt on our door would not lock. And the side exit door did not automatically lock after exiting or entering the building. You had to pull it closed. It’s a new building but the security in the building needs to be reviewed and enhanced. I’d also fence off the back area of the parking lot as it feels unsecure at night.
The staff was great. Helpful, friendly and professional including check-in and the kitchen staff.

We frequently stay at IHG hotels with better access to amenities like the pool (closed at this hotel) with no explanation.
Showering was terrible due to the lack of water pressure.
We wanted to give Western North Carolina support by staying in Woodfin (North Asheville) but clearly there were issues at this location. We will continue to support Asheville, but not at this specific hotel.

Mark and Wes went out of their way to make sure we had a good trip. I appreciate it so much. During all the chaos we had to endure of the trip they were my calm of the storm. It was such a great experience I’d definitely be back to this hotel anytime I’m visiting North Carolina again because of them!!

Nice hotel, great location and close to many things. It appears to be very new. No issues during our stay and honestly can’t say anything negative about the place. And it always nice to be recognized as being a member, IHG is the only chain that consistently does that.
