Great room, staff and food

On my trips north I have been staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Benson, NC which is about my halfway point going north.
The hotel staff are very nice, and the room, the food and location are perfect.
Looking forward to my next visit.

The staff was really accommodating. The room was super nice and the bed was really comfortable. The choice of pillows was a real plus too. The gem was the breakfast in the morning. It was hot and fresh. You had so many choices I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted.

I am beyond disappointed with my recent stay at this IHG location. I booked two double rooms well in advance—two full days prior to check-in—to accommodate myself and four other guests after a long 12-hour drive. Upon arrival, I was told my reservation had been changed to two king rooms, without any prior notification.
That left one of my guests sleeping on the floor like a dog. Totally unacceptable.
As a Diamond Elite member, I expected at the very least a courtesy heads-up or an attempt to make things right. Instead, I was met with indifference, as if my loyalty and status meant nothing. I wasn’t even offered any kind of compensation or solution on the spot.
The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service was shocking. I booked and paid for a specific room type for a reason—and the fact that IHG couldn’t honor that, or even inform me ahead of time, is a complete failure.
I will absolutely think twice before ever booking here again—and I suggest others do the same.

This Holiday Inn has a very friendly, helpful staff. The place was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was awesome. It has a great outdoor space with a firpit to sit around. Would definitely recommend this particular Holiday Inn. I've stayed in others and have been disappointed, but not this one.

This stay at the hotel was awesome. I enjoyed my stay. The atmosphere was very friendly and pleasant. I will definitely recommend to others to stay here. Everything was clean and that’s a plus. Rooms nice and neat.

Everything was as described in the booking. We were welcomed with a smiling staff who went above and beyond to put our family in two rooms next to each other although the hotel was fully booked. We enjoyed their complimentary breakfast. When in the area we will definitely be back.

Great hotel, new property, rooms comfortable, But hallways in hotel need AC as they were hot, stuffy and uncomfortable going to and from your room.

The nicest motel I've stayed at in a long time I travel a lot for drag racing we stay in a lot of hotels but by far this is the nicest and the cleanest the staff was unreal they were so helpful and communication was great

This is a beautiful newer hotel located in a quiet area that is a good halfway point for me when I travel up North from SC. Room was incredibly clean, the bed was super comfy, and there were lots of little extras (feee breakfast in the AM, fruit/coffee/iced tea/water available all day, fire pit and grill out back, dog park across the street) that made this particular Holiday Inn Express & Suites heads and tails above any others I’ve stayed at. Will definitely stay again when the need arises.
