I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The location is very convenient. My room was extremely clean and comfortable, with a well maintained bathroom. Loved how easy it was to charge my devices. Thr staff was super friendly and helpful. I would come back!

The room is neat and clean, nice location close to everything, complimentary breakfast is ok, and front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. A nice option for business travelers. Maybe come back again next time.

Excellent service and convenient location in the heart of the city. The hotel looks new and clean, and the self-service laundry room is conveniently located on the 2nd floor next to the gym.

The location of the hotel is great. Easy to get a taxi any time and the shopping malls are nearby. The room is clean and has the best high tech bathroom of the 6 Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in, namely Xiamen, Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Xian and Guangzhou. Just a press of the switch by the bed to close the curtains. But the friendly and helpful staff at the check-in beats it all. I met the staff like Amber, Grace and Una who helped me to write the Chinese names of the places of interests and the shopping malls I want to visit and then they hailed a taxi to take my husband and I to our destination. I only can speak very limited Mandarin but these ladies responded in English and that helped.

It's very easy to access the best part of Shanghai city by foot. The breakfast was very nice and you have lots of options to enjoy, I would just advice the staff could take away used plates and utensiles more frequently. And really love the robot who delivers your takeout foods, very interesting experience.

5-star stay with excellent value for money and a fantastic location.
Breakfast was tasty, though to be honest, as a non-local, I wasn’t quite sure how to mix the scallion oil noodles properly. It would be great if the chef could prepare them in advance or if there were some tip cards on the table for guidance.
It’s just a 10-minute walk to Jing’an Temple and Meilongzhen — very convenient if you’re applying for a U.S. visa.

The air conditioner in the room couldn’t be adjusted because it was set to heater mode, and I wasn’t used to staying in that kind of temperature. So the staff kindly brought us a tower fan. Plus, all the front desk staff could speak English, which made communication very convenient.
