Our stay was great, clean, breakfast was great and so easy when you have kids.
We will stay again.
We didn’t use the pool so we can’t review that but we loved our room and the darkness while we were sleeping.
Staff were very friendly.

This is by far the best hotel experience I've had in sulphur springs!! It's very clean inside and out!! Has amazing staff that is willing to help with whatever you need!! The bedrooms are extremely nice and the breakfast is delicious!! Great wifi network and the TV actually works unlike a lot of other places ive stayed prior!! I definitely recommend this facility for anyone looking for a great family vacation or strictly business, I guarantee it will definitely fit your needs!!

This was a good place to stay as an overall and can be recommended to as many people as possible. I will like to visit many of these IHG hotels to compare and make recommendations as needed. Thank you for the good services and keep it up.

I was not recognized by the staff as IHG member, I had to ask to receive my points and the NOISE! The noise from the highway is almost unbearable. I would not stay here again. I would rest better in my car!

Service people were great. The actual conditions of the facility is terrible. Our bathroom door would open or close properly. The pool had so many chemicals in it our kids were complaining of their skin burning after literally 5-7mins of being in it (never happened before). Went back the second day, no skin burning but there was paint flakes floating all in the pool. Turns out when you touch the bottom or the sides, the fresh paint just comes off. The handrail for the pool isn’t fully attached to the ground, my toddler almost cut her toes off with it. The door to the pool has screws that go all the way through the wood and poke out of the other side… watch your hands and kids.
That’s just the big stuff. The moth ball smell in main areas, weed smell down halls, and lack of space for parking is a whole other conversation.
10/10 won’t be staying here again.

The floors in our room hadn’t been cleaned. Very dirty including hair in the bathroom on the floor and in the tub and cracker crumbs on the carpet.

Clean room and facilities. Room was loud, were were on the highway side, we will request a room on the other side of the highway. 3rd floor has no ice machine. Eggs and biscuits at the breakfast buffet were old, had and stale. The pancakes and cinnamon rolls were good. Coffee and juice were good.
Terrible Will Never Be Back. I should be refunded.

Terrible experience. Booked room five days in advance for a softball tournament. When we arrived at the hotel that night after tournament games, the front desk stated the room we reserved was not available and the hotel overbooked. After approximately 10 minutes the man at the front desk then stated he had a room that fit our booked room description but that the television did not work. It was after 10:00pm at this point and i informed him that room was fine...as we are out of town which is why we reserved a room to begin with. All of the other hotels in town were also at capacity leaving us nowhere to go due to this hotel chain over booking, placing this major inconvenience on the paying customer. The air conditioner in the room also did not allow us to change the temperature- as the front desk clerk stated we would be able to. We did not bother calling the front desk due to the time of night it was. The following morning, we went to use the Guest Laundry to wash our daughters uniforms before their games started back up, and the dryer did not work-they start button was broken. The front desk clerk that morning stated to her understanding they worked. We were able to get a housekeeping employee to put their uniforms in their dryer. I travel often for work and I have never experienced a hotel overbooking rooms like this. I will never be back to this chain. I should be refunded.

Do not stay here. The lock was broken on my door. Never fixed. The elevator did not work. We were with my eldest mother and aunt. Very inconvenient. Staff was terrible.
Not the original Holiday Inn Express building

We were surprised to find this building was previously a competitors hotel, not the original Holiday Inn Express we had stayed in previously at Sulphur Springs, TX. The building was not as clean as expected. I asked about another Holiday Inn Express being in town and he indicated there was one apparently because he couldn't understand English. There was no hair dryer in the room and the clerk insisted on coming in to verify themselves. He checked unsuccessfully in two other rooms for a hair dryer. He insisted "all" rooms have hair dryers, stating housekeeping verifies this. Although there was an iron, there was no ironing board. The pool was located outside our room and at 11 pm, two of the clerks were out sitting by the pool taking a break I assume and talking loud. The floors needed vacuuming. We wanted to go to the treadmill but had to get a clerk to let us in. Our key wouldn't do it. Not sure why they don't trust their guest. The clerks were nice enough but they were difficult to understand. The room above had people that stomped around all night. Not sure why they would be up all night...
