Clean comfortable, but slightly tired

Had a good stay with room clean and comfortable, a reasonable breakfast and the kids really appreciated the pool being open (all too often you only find out at check-in that coincidentally, again, a hotel happens to be doing essential maintenance and it’s shut). On morning of checkout, and after severe thunderstorms water was coming down the walls of the room - raised this with hotel and a maintenance person was up to check on this within an hour.
It was okay.

I booked the same hotel i booked previously by mistake. And the room had the exact same issues and did not look updated at all. I did not check in till 5 am and because of the lack of comfort and sneezing I packed up and checked out if the hotel less than 8 hrs later and changed hotels.
Excellent Hotel for an Economical Trip to DC

This hotel is an excellent place to stay for an economical trip to DC. It is very clean. The breakfast was amazing. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is also near the Green Line which is very convenient for visiting the city.

I actually switched hotels last minute due to cost and convenience at the time. This hotel has very nice staff and there was a lady at the front desk that was extremely patient and helpful in assisting concert goers with transit from the hotel to the stadium. I do feel that transit shoukd have been available from the hotel but overall, the hotel us definitely outdated. It was clean but there were simple things that should be provided some attention. The lampshades were disgusting, the carpet was not the best and the furniture is big bulky and outdated. The bathrooms have shower heads that seem to be old and compacted with calcium deposits and the water only got warm, not as hot as normal and the handle can be hard to operate when turning the water on. I could not have stayed in the room longer than the two nights I needed. You are about 30 to 35 minutes from downtown, not including traffic so you are some distance from the excitement. I do wish I had looked into this further. The location was not bad at all but again, overall, the hotel, from my understanding is privately owned so alot of repairs have seemed to be overlooked, including the elevator being non working. They have 1 so if it is a busy event, you will be waiting a long time for a ride from floor to floor.

oom was comfortable but wasn't as clean as I've seen most hotels. The floors appeared dirty and there was a little bit of mold in the shower. The toilet paper wasn't on the roll that goes into the wall. The toilet was very low and sink was high (which is odd). Breakfast on 6/8 had terrible service. I came down around 8:15 and there wasn't any more cinnamon buns and the station was shut down, pancake station was closed, there was scraps basically from the food in the pans, no coffee lids and just overall made me irritated. I paid good money for this hotel specifically to try the pancake station and cinnamon rolls and didn't even get to utilize and try it since they were shut down an hour early. If breakfast is until 9:30am, they should be replenishing the food, especially during times where people come down later.

Preston was working the desk for most of our stay, he remembered our names. Greeted us and always asked if we needed anything. Teresa was the morning hostess for our breakfast and made us feel like we were at home!
In need of significant renovations or demolition.

Old hotel that has seen its better years! High- pile carpet in the hallways makes the luggage harder to pull; the psychedelic striping does not help much either. Furniture is old and carpets were stained. Breakfast was lacking service and choices. Front desk staff were helpful. The breakfast staff needed more training in service and how to keep the area well stocked. Booked with points but if paying for it… Not a good value for the price!
I will not recommend nor go back to this one again. First time I saw a sign charging extra for early check in to non-IHG members… got charged extra for every day, had to call main customer service to get it fixed. Two elevators present but only one worked during the entire 4-day stay making for longer lines just to go back to the room… no “out of service” sign makes it seem as if they are trying to save money on the power bill.

First Look - unkept, lawn overgrown and trash. Check in - Preston was great. Female agent was not interested, too busy on her phone. One elevator worked. Shower curtain hanging off - hooks missing/torn. Shower was broken and hard to operate. Pool needed to be shocked. (did not use it), guest access locked, had to walk outside to enter, gate unlocked, aesthetically unpleasing, none of the back doors required card key access - open to the public. Will not give IHG points if not booked directly, (which is crazy because the room wasn't free). Loud, vibrating base music at 730a (heard/felt in my 5th flr room), same female front desk agent refused to ask them to turn it down. At check out, asked her for a receipt for my incidentals and was met with opposition. Thanked her and she said nothing. Will not stay here again.
Good for a quick stay…less than 8 hours

If you need a place to shower and sleep, and be close to base, this is it. If you plan on staying a while, I’d definitely recommend looking at another hotel. You have to pull on the shower handle to turn the water on, and by pulling I mean it felt like we were going to pull it off the wall. There is a soap dish that’s awkwardly placed and has been secured with caulk. The lighting was dim, which I like, but not everyone may. And the AC didn’t work on high. The staff however was very friendly and helpful.
