disappointing experience during check-in

We had a disappointing experience during check-in at this hotel. While the hotel itself is pleasant, the front desk staff member (a black girl) around 7 PM 7/3/2025 was unfriendly and unwelcoming. She seemed visibly unhappy and responded to my inquiries about my two reservations with impatience and a somewhat blaming tone, which felt disrespectful. I hope this was an isolated incident due to a momentary lapse rather than a reflection of the hotel’s training standards. Her demeanor significantly dampened the start of our vacation. As a frequent IHG guest, this is the first time I’ve felt unwelcome. I chose to address this feedback after returning home to ensure we could rest promptly during our stay. I hope this can be addressed to maintain the quality experience I’ve come to expect from IHG.

The room was very nice and clean. They have a great work out room and nice size pool with an outside seating area. The breakfast was quick, easy, and accommodating to anyone’s needs. The staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. It was a great location that was centrally located to get to downtown and surrounding areas. I would highly recommend.

Run for hills loud guy on guy noises nasty sticky rooms and refused to clean

My family and I wanted a few days away from our everyday life. We were comfortable and happy with what we experienced. The pool was clean and fun. Food was hot and ready in the morning. Always a friendly staff member ready to answer your question. So come experience it for yourself. Hope it's just as great

Was initially checked into room 421. Around 11:59 I had to change rooms as I was bitten by something. Woke up and saw something crawling on the top sheet. Saw another bug under the sheet, was able to kill it and brought it downstairs to show the desk when I requested to be moved.
Was moved to room 412 with no further issues.
I enjoyed this hotel very much

I had a great couple day stay. The hotel was clean and open. The rooms were large and I appreciated the extra space for luggage. Bathroom and soup was very nice. I really appreciated the breakfast. Good verify of stuff.
The bed was okay the first night. I became quickly uncomfortable. But I'd still come back.
A welcoming place away from home

I stayed at this hotel while on a two day swing through New England on business. The staff could not have been more courteous, especially Mel, she was absolutely fabulous. She's a true professional and the type of employee any company would want on their staff, regardless of what that job might be. If she were closer to my business, I would try to hire her away from Holiday Inn.
The hotel is clean, comfortable and catered to my needs like pros. I'll be back in the area sometime in June, and I won't bother looking for an alternative hotel. I can't recommend a better hotel in this price range.

The quality of this hotel is excellent, the staff was very respectful, my room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and it there was a large variety of items to choose from. The pool was heated so that was very inviting.
Better than Swansea

Better hotel than nearby Swansea MA. At least this hotel offers bacon for breakfast to supplement the same old HIE breakfast choices. TV in the room worked fine. Room was average but acceptable. Did not use amenities. Effective lower cost price.
