Driving Directions
Villages Resort is in a rural location of Lake Palestine in East Texas near Tyler, about two hours from both Dallas (to the west) and Shreveport, LA (to the east). I-20 runs between both cities and provides the quickest and easiest route to get to the Lake Palestine area.
If driving from Dallas, pick up I-30 E from downtown. Follow for 6.6 mi and keep right at fork to continue on US-80 E. Follow signs for Terrell/Big Town Blvd. In 0.2 mi, keep left to stay on US-80 E (follow signs for Terrell) and travel 18.9 mi. Continue onto TX-557 Spur E and go 4.5 mi, and then merge onto I-20 E. Travel 53.3 mi and take exit 553 for TX-49 Loop (toll road). Turn right at exit and go 9.6 mi, and then take the TX-31 ramp to Chandler/Tyler (toll road) and turn right onto TX-31 W. At 1.3 mi, turn left onto FM 2661 S and go 7.5 mi. Turn right at the resort sign onto Lake Village Dr, and then right again onto Singing Wood Ln. Check-in is in the building on the left.
If coming from Shreveport, LA, merge onto I-20 W from downtown and drive 101 mi. into Texas. Take exit 553 for TX-49 Loop and in 0.6 mi, turn left onto TX-49 Loop (toll road). Travel 9.7 mi, and then take the TX-31 ramp to Chandler/Tyler (toll road). In 1.3 mi, turn left onto FM 2661 S and go 7.5 mi. Turn right at resort sign onto Lake Village Dr, and then right again onto Singing Wood Ln. Check-in is in the building on the left.
