Poor customer service

I enjoy being an IHG member and the benefits it affords. I always look forward to being welcomed when I arrive at a hotel. The staff at this hotel was disappointing. When I arrived, I was not greeted. I was just asked for last name, credit card and ID. I was never acknowledged as a Platinum Member or offered the Welcome Points that every hotel that I have stayed in has offered. I was not told what my room number was. I was just handed the key in the holder and told, "Here is your key." I had to ask where the room was located and what time breakfast was and the check out time. One of the lights in the room did not work. To get the microwave to work, I had to hold the plug on the cord in the wall and hold it just right to get it to work. The bed was comfortable; however, the air conditioner did not work properly either. I will not stay here again. It was very disappointing.

stayed twice. impressed with staff and facility. Clean, comfortable and well maintained. I assume it is relatively new. Parking lot is a bit disjointed which pushes you farther from the front door.

Worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in

The staff was more preoccupied with talking rather than checking me in. The room was not acceptable as there was mold around the shower and the water was either really hot or really cold. Hallways were dirty didn't look like they had been vacuumed in weeks. When I complained about the room at checkout all I got was on sorry and they just didn't seem to be interested in my comments. Will never stay at this property again!

Clean, safe and comfortable

I travel to and from Amarillo approximately 5-6 times each year and I always choose this Holiday Inn Express. The staff is always very professional and friendly; the rooms are clean and well equipped; the breakfast choices are good, and most of all, as a woman who frequently travels alone, I feel safe at this hotel.

This is a regular stop for us on the way to conferences in Las Vegas. It is what I have some to expect in a Holiday Inn Express. A clean room with a comfortable bed. A hot shower and a good breakfast with coffee in the morning before we hit the road again.

Outside is nice but wait till you get to your room

Staff acted like they were preoccupied and wanting to check you in as quick as possible and get back to what they were doing. Was not able to take a shower as the water was either freezing cold or scolding hot. Could not adjust the temp. The bathroom sink you could not get the drain stopper to stay up. The sheets on the bed were for a king bed not a queen so during the night they would wrinkle up and become u comfortable.
