Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by smoky and noisy Other guests were smoking in their rooms which came into our room. The other quests had scanners that went off throughout the night. You could hear the hallway noise very clearly. The front staff was very welcoming the lobby smelled wonderful and fresh when you walked in. As we got closer to our room we could smell cigarette smoke and then throughout the night in our room. The hotel was full so we couldn't change rooms and so we just tried to get through it. The bed and pillows were very comfortable but we were awakened throughout the night due to the smell and the noise. March 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service When we checked in the young gentleman at the desk was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed and acted he had known us for ever. It was the first time I was given discounts for meals. I will always stay at this hotel when we are in town which will be a lot since my granddaughter will be going to college there. I never felt as at home as I did there. You have a great staff and place. Very clean. March 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5/5 Stars I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Dubuque, IA. The stay was for business purposes. The hotel staff had great guest service and was very accommodating to our company's needs. They were more then willing to help out with any billing questions for our accounting department. They also stripped a larger room of its furniture to accommodate our needs for a meeting room when their other meeting room was occupied during our stay. Great experience. March 24, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very disspointed This hotel was very dirty. From Elevators to air condition/heat vent in the room. The curtains were dusty. This is now my third time staying at an Holiday Express and this is also my third disappointment. I will never stay this this hotel chain again! March 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by clean it up! There were lots of engineers there during my stay, a parking lot full of trucks. Mud was tracked inside the lobby and elevators and hallways. Very annoying. Friendly staff, especially at breakfast, and the breakfast options were very good and seemed to satisfy everybody there. I heard only good things at breakfast and the attendant was unusually helpful. Bathroom amenities a minus--shampoo and conditioner, but no hand lotion; that seemed cheap. The cleaner also left the shower head pointed up and out--we turned on the shower and sprayed water outside the tub. Quality of bedding is good, up to HIE standards, and the room and bathroom were very clean. March 15, 2015
