Assign the better rooms to arriving customers in accordance with availability and LEAVE the WORST to the last. Credit card charges - Charge to the potential customers' credit card at the end of the day of reservation of stay. DO NOT pre-bill as it would affect the FX rate should there be cash transactions and reversals. UNDERSTAND how the credit card charges and handles foreign exchange currency transactions to minimize unnecessary additional charges to customers. September 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by front desk did not get my reservation right from the very beginning when i made the booking one montn before. i felt very embarrassed to be put in a handicap room which i did not request in the first son was also put in a handicap room as well. I requested 2 rooms on the first floor as i always do. When i arrived to check in the front desk person told me my rooms were on the second floor with none available on first floor. then that person told someone else who proceeded to look for other rooms on first floor like i made them originally. I was told they only had one available and i would come back later that evening to find another handicap room next door to my. I always stay on first floor to minimize walking from car to room and also to eliminate climbing stairs and the elevator. So what part of this is hard to understand what i request each and every time i stay at HOLIDAY INNS for the last 40 years. I am a rewards club member does that account for something!!!!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unbelievable breakfast and proximity to hospital My husband, sister, and I had to stay local to Flint for not-so-pleasant circumstances (my mother was at Hurley Medical Center). We were all emotionally and physically exhausted due to the family emergency, trying to make preparations, and commuting back and forth. I picked this hotel sheerly out of it's proximity to Hurley Medical... and I could not have gotten more lucky. We were able to get a good nights sleep finally because the room was dark, quiet, and the pillows were like clouds (they have soft and firm ones). Then waking up to their breakfast was unbelievable. I've stayed at several hotels and I'm pretty much used to the average continental breakfast. Well... this is not your average. Not only did they have gluten-free bagels for my sister, but my husband and I loved the biscuits and gravy. The lady that works the breakfast bar clearly enjoys her job because she's SO personable and attentive. It was like eating a free breakfast in a five star restaurant. Lastly, during the three days we stayed there, we opted out of room service because we were traveling with our dog-- but whenever we would see the housekeepers in the hallway they were always really nice. If we needed to switch a towel out they would be really pleasant and even strike up conversation. Like I said, I've stayed at a lot of hotels. Five stars, four stars, three stars, two stars, one star. The whole experience was just weird-- weird in a good way. Unexpected and completely surprising. Sometimes I had to remember I was staying in a Holiday Inn Express. Thank you for being there for us when we needed it most-- very appreciated! September 9, 2015
