The one thing that should be done really well at any of these IHG hotels in these demographic / tourist areas is to knock breakfast out of the park!
I wish the coffee was better - or provide a keurig for better coffee in rooms.
The eggs were horrible.
The pancake machine was great -- 3 days in a row of cinnamon rolls and the same muffins - bad bananas - red apples which were over ripe.
There is nothing else in that area really -- so I'd love it if it was a bit more.

This is a great hotel if you are travelling to the Redwood National and State Parks area. It is centrally located between The National Park (20 miles) and Prairie State Park (12 miles) to the south and the Jedediah Smith (25 miles) and Del Norte State Parks (12 miles) to the North. Each of them have magnificent old growth redwood groves to explore.
The hotel itself is a newer property. It is excellently maintained. The staff was above and beyond in friendliness. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. There is a small, non-smoking, detached casino that has a nice restaurant. The free breakfast was good, with a variety of choices, and was kept stocked even though it was very busy each morning. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were pretty quiet. The black out curtains didn't quite reach the under window, wall mounted air conditioning unit so there was a 1 inch gap for the sunlight to get in. Kind of misses the whole point of keeping the room dark so you can sleep in ;) I suggest bringing ear plugs and an eye mask. Warning, cell phone reception is not very good in the area (Verizon). There is free internet, which is adequate. I was able to stream video without much buffering.
