Smelly and loud

I had to take lid of toilet because it kept running and was super loud. The lounge smelled really bad and right outside our windows on 2nd floor was the heating and cooling system. There was lose metal all over which I am assuming cause there be bears loud metal banging noise all night because it was windy. Did not sleep well at all.
Extended Remodeling

We were again concerned about the slow process to complete remodeling efforts. Especially the lack of heat in the lobby and breakfast areas. Heat was being provided but through e use of multiple electric space heaters throughout the facility. We view this as a safety issue for employees and guests. We won’t be staying at this facility until we are assured that this matter has been corrected with functional heating and air conditioning equipment.

Please acknowledge these people for making our stay special. Stephanie who is one the managers who leads this great team who greet you with warm smiles and want to do whatever they can to make your stay memorable. So here they Jaden, Isaiah, Kearstin. They were able to get me an early check-in and gave me a great list of nearby restaurants. Everyone was great and last but not least Cheyanne who makes breakfast does a great job giving an ample amount of choice and the best hash browns! So please acknowledge them all for doing the little things that make a big difference! God Bless them all🙏❤️🙏

This was a nice hotel. It was a bit outdated and the pool area could definitely use more accommodations.

I had a great time at the Holiday Inn Express, Big Rapids. Eden, the front desk agent, was great to interact with. The cleanliness and hospitality made my stay pleasurable.

The lobby is great and fit the updated brand. The rooms aren't dated, but they've seen better days. Lots of damage here and there, nothing that really impacts the stay, but it gave the room the feeling of not being kept up. The toilet had flushing issues that we dealt with for 2 days (i hate people going on my room while I'm staying), there were a couple hairs on the floor, some spiral scum, stains on the shower curtain, and it just didn't feel clean. The bed was OK, and i do like that they have firm and soft pillows on each side of the bed.

This was my second stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Both stays were great. Room renovations are really nice. Best part of this hotel is the staff. Eden at the front desk is awesome. Not only great customer service, but just a joy to talk to. If I had to give a couple of recommendations, my first would be to program the TV's so it displays the networks. There is no guide, so no way of telling what the channels are. I was on the first floor and the room blinds are standard horizontal blinds. There was a walkway right outside my room and I could see people walking by and I'm sure they were able to see in through the blinds. Most HIE's I stay at have the shear blind and heavy blind, which provide much more privacy. But these 2 items do not overshadow the fact that this is a really nice hotel.

When I first got there, the front staff was very friendly.Checked us in quite efficiently. She was able to answer any or all of my questions about parking and the event that was going to be happening the next day at the golf course.
