Good pool

Friendly staff and an excellent pool. Far away from old town, but close to Israel Museum and Knessit. Can catch excellent modern tram to old city at bus station which is 5 minutes walk away from the hotel.

Wi-Fi signal very weak in rooms

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel and Wi-Fi signal was still very weak. I did change the room but still not improved. I would suggest the management still think about setting up an individual router in each room so that the Wi-Fi signal becomes better. At the end, I was at the lobby to get on-line for 3 hrs since I needed to get my mails done. As a platinum PC mener and frequently traveller like myself, hotel internet is extremely important and I hope the hotel management should take an immediate action on this issue.

Good value for money

I spent a one day stay with the Crowne Plazza Jerusalem with my family.
Overall, the service was very ok: I was recognized as a IHG Reward Club member and as such upgraded as well as my family, the breakfast was very good from a quality perspective, check-in and check out was very effective and we had the opportunity to enjoy the swimming pool.
On the negative side, for sure the hotel is not a boutique hotel, so do not expect a charming hotel.

Great service, tired hotel

This was my second time staying here, and whilst I try to stay within the IHG hotel brands, I will start to rethink a bit about this place.

The staff are really friendly, and I cannot find complaint in this area. They are courteous and helpful in every way. The concierge pointed us to some good restaurants and helped with our navigation around the city.

As to the hotel, the large pool was the best part for me. Being able to get my swimming lengths in whilst travelling is always a plus. This was one of the larger pools I have had access too.

The rest of the hotel, though, is somewhat tired. My bedroom was one of the low points. The bathroom relatively filthy, and I had multiple large moths flying around in my room, which really was not pleasant.

My previous stay had yielded what I recall to be a much nicer room, so there must be some in better shape than others.

Really, at the price this is, versus other Crown Plaza's around Europe, this is is sub standard and needs an overhaul.

The people making effort is what brought this back from a negative review.
