Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good location but very expensive breakfast The location is good just by the river and it was very nice to have dinner by the water front. Complementary internet is normal these days. You also get this for free here. However, if you want to work at night and need some bandwidth, then find another place to stay/work. Breakfast not included in the room rate is in general annoying as a business traveler. At this hotel they charge you an unreasonable high rate for a standard hotel breakfast (it was good - as expected on a hotel in this category). Instead of the hotel breakfast I recommend the coffee shop just next to the hotel. In general this is an average hotel for business travelers. Breakfast and internet is on the negative side. I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. July 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK Hotel. Three stars is about right. Well, if you're loyl to IHG and need to stay in Maastricht, then this hotel is your only choice. In terms of service it's nowhere near as good as the CP in Amsterdam and the review generated 3 stars for my stay - I reckon that that's about right. The hotel is much improved since the new management took over. June 30, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor unsatisfactory service On requesting a twin and a river view pre-booking we achieved neither - instead we were offered an additional smelly room at an addition 70 euros! The staff were unable to resolve our issue - so a spare bed in an already cramped room was the solution. Poor. June 26, 2014

After a very unpleasant previous stay at this hotel, when I found ants in my bed and around the room, I decided to give them another chance and stayed again. This time I was warmly greeted by name when I walked through the front door, by Ramone, he remembered my previous bad experience and thanked me for giving the hotel another chance. Having stayed in many hotels around the world I can say that Ramone is an outstanding member of staff and an asset to this hotel, and his very professional attitude is what keeps me coming back. Unfortunately this stay was not problem free, on the last morning when opening a freshly laundered shirt, I found a black stain on the front chest area, I had to waste 30 minutes cleaning, drying and ironing the shirt again, resulting in me arriving late for my first meeting of the day. Location is very good, just by the river, next to shops, restaurants and few minutes walk from the town. Staff also friendly. Breakfast is very overpriced though, absolutely not worth the money.
