Cozy bed and an awesome restaurant.
1. Bathrooms are awesome - even better than I have seen at other IHG places. Rooms are small yet cozy.
2. The views from your breakfast table are awesome with some decent food spread.
You don't have to leave the airport.
1. Bedding sheets have not been cleaned in a long time. How do I know this? I turned the sheets upside down very well expecting them not to be cleaned. Presumably, they smelled bad. I set them to their original position and slept.
2. The room walls are thin. We could hear all the dialogues between the family. Maybe they were just loud?
We had a 14 hour layover at Delhi with our flight arriving at 1 AM. We had to walk all the way from arrivals to the departures to find a Holiday Inn Express counter only to find it empty. We waited 10 minutes to try and call the reservations desk. No one attended the call. At 15 minutes, I then met a person who worked with IHG, attending other guests. He mentioned that he will send some one over to attend to us soon. We waited another 15 minutes, but no one turned up. I called the number mentioned on the desk and a very helpful lady picked up. She directed us to come to the first floor departures and check-in manually. However, the cops present there did not allow us to do so. Another 15 minutes went by until some one from the hotel came by, checked our reservations and walked us for the next 5 minutes to the hotel through two security checks to finally reach the hotel. A 45 minute delay just the get to the hotel that is on the airport is not acceptable.
For future guests:
When checking out I met with a very helpful manager who suggested that we should mention our flight numbers in the reservation as staff would be present to welcome you. The manager also said that the sheets would be taken care of for sure.
All in all I had a pleasant stay, albeit the cumbersome boarding on process. [Less]
