Okay, where to begin? Checked in to what the very nice desk clerk referred to as "the best room in the hotel" First thing I noticed was how incredibly noisy the refrigerator was, but no big deal, right? Then I realized there wasn't a remote for the tv in the bedroom, called down and one was sent up. No non-decaf coffee, but again, not a huge deal. But when I got ready to go to bed and pulled back the sheets, they were completely wrinkled. I thought, well, maybe it's just because it's not a fitted sheet (but it was) but on further inspection, I noticed the non-head hair (won't let me use that other word) and the stains on the sheets. They had not been changed after the last guest, the bed was just made up. Called the desk, no housekeeping at that time of night, so he brought up sheets and I had to strip and remake the bed myself. When I mentioned it at check out, I was told that they had checked with the maid and that bed was made, but they were giving me extra points for the inconvenience. Thanks for nothing and for basically insinuating that I was lying. I should have taken photos and posted them all over the internet with a warning; don't stay here.

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express when visiting our daughter at Michigan State. The staff was slow and took a while find out if room was clean. Keep in mind there was hardly anyone in the hotel, so was not sure why questioning if room clean. They forgot to give us our complementary water and had to ask for it, which they said I could come down and get it, no one available to bring to the room. The heater made a load noise and was hard to sleep. Then at breakfast 9am they were out of there sweet rolls?? To make it worst they only had 1/2 of the breakfast items available. I think because the hotel was so empty they did not offer all the breakfast items they normally do. This was a bad experience for us and will not be staying here again.
