We had been looking forward to seeing the 3 Queens and she specifically requested a river view which we got and it seemed like the Queen Victoria was docked right outside our room window. We didn't even know the hotel existed and were taken aback by its size and positioning to the dock and the room was so clean and comfortable with fantastic views. Our daughter was a little worried as to whether we would like the present but she couldn't have given us a better gift and we've never been more proud of the City of Liverpool and its people. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A fantastic location but nothing special as a hotel The location, one door opposite the Echo arena and one door opening into the Albert Dock, is wonderful. The staff were very pleasant. The building is large and spacious and the room was a good size. However, this didn't lead to absence of noise from other guests, the walls seemed very thin and the many doors in the corridors could be heard until after midnight. The room itself - and the hotel in places - could stand some refurbishment, the shower rail was rusty, the tap head fell off the shower control, there was a screw missing from the window catch, the carpet was tired and the wooden furniture worn. The sheets were a little too small for the bed and didn't stay tucked in. Practically no supplies are left on the hot drink tray in the room, it's necessary to ask for more every single day. The toiletries provided are one large pump bottle of soapy stuff by the sink and another in the shower, no individual toiletries at all. The all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast was acceptable although the area seemed very cramped, especially around the drinks places and too small to seat all the guests at busy times. There were no milk jugs, the bananas were in a basket so high that only people six feet tall could see them and plates were in a curious place in the middle of the buffet bar rather than at the beginning. The hot options are sausage, scrambled egg and beans, no bacon, no choice of type of egg and no other hot thing at all. Such food as was provided was of an acceptable quality but there was nothing special about any of it. Reception was on the second floor, which is odd, usually it's on the ground floor. The info in the room says takeaway menus can be had at reception and they can but all four of the ones I was given were for pizza places, apparently they don't have anything else. The room servicing seemed fine, invisible and efficient, however there was dust in some places and handprints on the window. The price wasn't cheap by any means, it was the weekend of the three queens and the location was the major deciding factor for me. However, I wouldn't stay here again for any reason other than its location May 29, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Execellent One word if staying in Liverpool stay at this Hotel, Lovely/helpful/friendly Staff, Hotel is very clean and is in a beautiful spot on the Albert Docks, will be staying here again on my next vist to Liverpool, only downside is i wish they did a full english breakfast, but there are plenty of restaurants on the Albert Docks that do May 28, 2015

The location on the Albert Docks is very good and only a short walk from the main shopping areas. Car parking is a short walk away but luggage can be dropped off at the hotel. May 28, 2015
