Facility was clean, well maintained and presentable despite the extremely cold weather.
Cleanliness in the corner areas of the room needs improvement, for example, behind the lamp. Bathroom can be fitted with magnifying glass to improve shaving,
Staff prepared cookies cookies during evening hours and that was a welcome treat.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by K and K A gem hidden away in the woods
This Holiday Inn Express is located a short distance off Highway 1 and is part of a larger conference center, sharing meeting facilities with another hotel. The setting is BEAUTIFUL.. trees, birds, ponds, and deer walking through the woods. I liked the decor...simple and relaxing. The zig-zag layout means that every room has a great view of the outdoors and it's very quiet. It was such a wonderful retreat away from the New Jersey traffic. Otherwise, it was what we expected..clean, nice, if not super luxurious, but very reasonably priced. The fitness center is shared with the other hotel, so it's a bit of a walk to get there (think of it as a warm up) but it was pretty nice and had what we needed. It's well worth going the extra mile down Scudders Mill Road to get away from the highway. Watch out, the GPS will take you around to the other hotel; your entrance is closer to Highway 1, so you have to look for the signs. We will stay there again the next time we're in NJ. If you decide you wanted a little more than the house breakfast, there is a cute little town called Cranbury just a few miles farther down Scudders Mill...ask for directions.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tiger Auntie Great hotel for Fitness minded people
This hotel was a great value for t he money! The room was clean and had a lovely setting. The view out the window was tree filled and was a beautiful winter snow-scape. Looked like there were some wooded paths to walk along. Especially like the aromatherapy packet at bedtime. Breakfast was enough to fill us up until dinner. The use of the fitness center was great! Enough machines and workout gear to get a sufficient workout. They could use more mats and exercise balls, however. The lap pool was a welcome surprise. The water warm and towels abundant. I even thought I spied some tennis courts outside - which would be great in warm weather. Will definitely tell friends and family.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Traveling Dad Great find!
Visit the area a lot and have stayed here many times. After trying several other places, this is by far is the best option. It's newly renovated, the rooms are great, can use Crowne Plaza amenities and is a pretty good value. Close to Downtown Princeton and all Rt 1 shops including Whole Foods and Starbucks. Nice town & country setting too. I only don't recommend it because I don't want to make it so difficult to get a room on my next visit!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gianfuffo Simply the Best in Princeton/Plainsboro area
I stayed at Holiday Express in Plainsboro for 2 weeks (purpose was a collaboration with the Plasma Physics Lab - PPPL, which is at walking distance). The location is convenient, just a 5 minutes ride from downtown Princeton, and next the railway station at Princeton Junction. The hotel is in the midst of the Forrestal wood, you are just in town without feeling the traffic congestion at all: on the contrary, the feeling is that of being in the countryside.
The hotel is brand new (actually, renovated, it was Wyndham before), the rooms are gorgeous, and you are filled with amenities: free internet, free breakfast, a 35 meter swimming pool with spa, gym, and lounge bar (these last shared with Crowne Plaza, which is the other half of old Wyndham). You come back from work, and you go in the swimming pool to relax. Simply fabulous.
If you add the warmth of the personnel (I remember Dave in particular), this makes the best choice in town.
