Excellent service from front desk personnel. Made to feel very welcome and Shannon and Jessica went out of their way to help us. Hotel is well situated and convenient to visit all the tourist spots in central London. There are parking spaces if needed. Breakfast is good, rooms are basic but clean and the beds are very comfortable, had a great nights sleep. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Overall is valuable.
The breakfast is everyday with the same menu but I am satisfied
The room was clean and big enough to open 28inch luggage.
The location is excellent which is just behind tate modern art museum

We frequently stay at Holiday Inn Express but this was our first time in this particular hotel. We chose it for its value for money, confident that it would meet IHG standards - and it certainly did. The whole hotel was very clean and in excellent repair, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was a good size for London, with very effective (if slightly loud) air conditioning. The shower room was well equipped, attractive and immaculate. There was a comfy double bed (though I do wish hotels would use lighter duvets in the summer!), blackout curtains and double glazing.

Breakfast was very busy as the hotel was pretty full, and there was a short wait for a table one morning. Staff were working very hard to keep everything replenished but there were a few short waits for some items - nothing out of the ordinary for such a busy time, though. There was plenty of choice and everything was fresh and well prepared.

The hotel is conveniently placed close to Blackfriars Bridge (just walk across the bridge for the underground.) It's slightly closer to Southbank Station, but that's not such a useful line for most of London. It's about a 15 minute walk to Waterloo or Embankment. It's only a few minutes' walk to the south bank of the Thames, which has lots of good places to eat, including street food stalls. In the other direction it's about 10 mins to Borough Market and The Globe.

This was a last minute reservation when the hotel we were in was not meeting our needs. Warm welcome as we walked in the door and the staff was so nice. Had recommendations on how to get around, places nearby to eat, etc. Breakfast was fresh, hot, and had lots of options. Looks like it has had renovations and felt like new. Felt very safe, comfy bed and lots of room to move around in the room and bathroom. Would definitely stay again.

Front desk: pleasant, professional, the "go the extra mile for you" type which makes a stay more comfortable. Very good shower with pressure and the kind you can hold in your hand to really wash your hair well. Will return on next trip to London.

The Holiday Inn Express is my "goto" hotel for visits to London, it is well placed, welcoming and helpful, I am able to access everything I need and my room is fully accessible with my carers always accommodated close by. Any requests for help or equipment are met fully and immediately and we are able to park although my WAV is too big for the car park. We are well situated and able to get to the places I want to visit (National Gallery, Tate, Royal Ballet and Opera) and breakfast gets the day started

Excellent service again from check-in to check-out. Great bed, quiet room, lovely shower and decent breakfast- nothing not too like. Tony on reception is a class act!

We were finishing up a 3-week tour of England and wanted to stay in the Southwark area. This property is nicely located within an easy walk to both the Southwark and the Blackfriars tube stations. Excellent hotel with great value.
