Our room was clean, comfortable, very spacious, modern, and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even picked up our luggage at 4:30am from our rooms and brought them downstairs. When the [More] free airport shuttle showed up full, they ordered another shuttle and it was there within a minute. Since the facility was being remodeled, there was no hot breakfast. Instead we were given a bagged breakfast of a banana, granola bar, and a juice box. Unfortunately, mine was cherry flavored which I detest. My only complaint is that due to the remodeling, there was no business center where I could print out my airplane boarding pass. I would have expected a temporary business center could have been set up (all it needs is a table, a power outlet, and a network connection along with the pre-existing computer [Less]
Restful experience before an airport nightmare

The Holiday Inn Express experience was an excellent, restful and relaxing experience that we soon would realize was so necessary prior to our very frustrating and very hectic 45 hour experience home. [More] We learned after two hours of being on our plane that the plane was grounded due to mechanical issues and would not be leaving until the next day. The airlines then put us up at less sufficient, less restful and further Inn overnight. The rest that we were able to get at the Holiday Inn, the night before our nightmare began, would prove to be the most crucial prior to dealing with what those next 45 hours would bring!! We only wish that the airlines would have put us up at the Holiday Inn Express just right across the street for another restful experience instead of 40 minute round trip away!!
