I know when I check-in to a Holiday Inn that the rooms will be clean and comfortable, the beds ready for a good nights sleep, and the bathroom ready to begin the relaxation. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Relaxing Weekend We wanted a relaxing weekend in a comfortable, trouble-free place, and that we got. We stayed Friday - Sunday. The hotel is clean and maintained. The front desk clerk was very friendly, smiling and greeting us. She processed our check-in efficiently, and did the same when we left with our check-out. The room was clean and spacious. We had booked a room with a whirlpool bath, and that was very relaxing in the evening. The king size bed was comfortable, with both soft and firm pillows so we could take our choice. My wife had to work on Saturday, and used the Wifi to connect with her laptop. She had no problems with that, and was quickly able to finish her work so we could relax again. There were two problems, one minor, one not so minor. The variety of food in the breakfast area was not great. We were there two mornings, and that was fine, but if we had stayed longer we would quickly have got tired of it. On the Saturday morning, there was plenty from which to choose. On the Sunday, the vultures descended, and food disappeared quicker than it could be replaced. The people also were not always thoughtful. They would drop things, and leave it to the maid to clean up. Even so, she tried to look after us. When we were going to sit at a table, she came up and cleaned it off first. The other problem was far more important. The room was heated by a heat pump. This pushed out air at a temperature lower than our body heat. As a result it felt cold. Also, since it was little warmer than the room, it had to run almost all the time to keep the place heated. It made an infernal racket, and was very annoying. The first night we let it run all night, and it seriously disturbed our sleep. The second night we turned it off, slept until we got too cold, then turned it on for half an hour and turned it off again. My house is heated by a heat pump, and it gives out heat at a comfortable temperature, runs far less, and does not make anywhere near as much noise. This noisy cold "heater" was the worst thing about the hotel. Other than that, we had no problems. March 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great bed and fantastic coffee! We had a very good stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The only areas they need to work on are the hall carpet on the 3rd floor needs attention as does the corners near the bathtub. they were a little dirty. Over all I would stay here again!
