Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Price and upscale feel This is an excellent facility that is well maintained having almost immediate access to I-295 and located within walking distance of services. It is a Florida hotel with the feel of a vacation destination. While there you are surrounded by good views with neighboring businesses located at a reasonable distance so that one does not look at bland nondescript strip-mall surroundings so common in Florida. My only negative was that while I was at the pool the in-room digital safe that I had closed but not yet set decided to lock itself with my belongings inside. Their security person was brought in after hours to open the safe. I was pleased that only an off-site person, not general staff, had access to my safe. During the wait, the manager on duty loaned me her personal cell phone to handle calls since my phone was in the safe. March 25, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Under staffed I stayed at this location from Sunday pm to Saturday am. During this week several high school boys baseball teams were also staying there. I do not fault the hotel for booking the teams as these children have the same right to stay there as anyone. However, I do fault the hotel with not having the staff to handle the amount of guests. I had to wait to check in because the rooms had not been cleaned-a staffing issue. On Monday my room never received housekeeping. On Tuesday they came but my coffee was not replaced nor was the trash emptied. The same situation on Wednesday and Thursday. I emptied my own trash. Friday was the only day that I received the full housekeeping that I expected: fresh coffee, fresh towels, soap, emptied trash. The room was NEVER vaccummed nor was the hallway outside of my room. I looked at the same candy wrapper all week long. I do not blame the folks who were working there because they were more than likely trying to do the best that they could. I do blame the managment for not having the hotel properly staffed. The poor young man who was working the front desk on Sunday was completely overwhelmed with unhappy guests who were awaiting for their rooms. He did the best he could with what little resources he had. I'd like to think that this is not a regular occurence for this hotel because overall it was modern and in a good location. March 24, 2015

The reception desk person was very nice and worked hard to get us into our room as quickly as she could. She checked on us after a 20 minutes and offered us an alternate room. March 18, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and clean, comfortable room The hotel was clean and newly renovated. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was spotless with an adequate amount of towels for three of us. Breakfast served us well having the usual cold and hot cereals, bagels, sweets, juices, coffees, and pancakes. It was nice to have fresh fruit and yogurt as well. I would not hesitate to stay there again when in the area. March 10, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Fire Alarm While there obviously isn't anything the staff and manager of the Holiday Inn Express could do about a fire alarm going off at 1:30AM, the least they could do is offer some type of compensation as in 10% of the nights stay would have been the least. We were not allowed to go back to our room for 3 hours. March 9, 2015
