We came from the Midlands to see a band at The Flag pub which is just behind the Hoiliday Inn so we parked on the pub carpark as there was no room left on the holiday Inn carpark, it did not make any difference as it is only over the way from the holiday inn.
the staff at the Inn was very quick and efficiant in checking us in and gave us all the info we needed to get settled in our room.
our room was clean, had a lovely bed, towelsand hairdryer.
Breakfast was between 7.30 and 10.30 on weekends so as we had a late night on the Saturday we didnt have to rush down to breakfast the next morning.
check out was quick as we had already paid, the reception staff also asked if we had had any problems

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cayenne Poor selection of menus
I have on numerous occasions highlighted to abysmal quality of the cooked breakfasts at this hotel. The only hot foods on offer are scrambled eggs, which are consistently rubbery and tasteless, sausages, which are too chewy and also tasteless, and beaked beans, which I do not like for breakfast.
The evening menu is restricted if you do not like vegetarian or Asian food, and at least one daily special doe snot seem unreasonable to expect.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ShroppieMum Convenient for London Trains/Show
We used this hotel as a base when going in to London to see Phantom of the Opera; it was an easy drive (mainly motorway) and saved taking the car into the City. A very quick trip on the train. In Saturday we decided to shop in Watford instead of returning to London and the Intu shopping centre is fantastic, parking price is reasonable and a huge variety of shops. All in all a good choice for us.

The Beds were tiny and VERY hard. The linens were clean the the room minimalist but had the basics. Breakfast was decent BUT on a four night stay the menu was the same daily. The location was GREAT if you wanted to be next to the train station, but poor if you need to walk about to go to a shop for anything.. and the trains could be heard... Hard to access by car as the roads are funny there and there is NO signage about the Hotel. You have to request more than ONE towel and if you need a flannel/washcloth, you apparently must bring your own.

First time in Holiday Inn Express. Hotel and room very clean. However room noisy as looked out at Railway station. Car park very small and lucky to get space. Bed not the comfiest but was only for one night. Staff at breakfast courteous and friendly and when asked for ketchup the service was quick and efficient. Good location if using train as less than 5 minutes walk from station, but not so good if using car.
