Synonymous with Mediterranean luxury and the jet set lifestyle, inviting, inspiring Cannes is a must-visit on the French Riviera. Pamper yourself with our selection of Cannes hotels that keep you connected to the beach and to the never-a-dull-moment social life that so characterize this European getaway.
Promenade de la Croisette is quintessential Cannes: this palm tree lined boulevard borders the beach and is dotted with cafes and stately buildings in dazzlingly light shades. The old town of Le Suquet means a trek up a curved lane lined with vintage buildings, but once you witness the view of the city and bay from up high, you’ll see it was well worth it. The Quartier des Anglais is another treasure trove of Cannes architecture, and the place where monied aristocrats built their lavish villas. Small St. Marguerite Island off the coast also happens to be the fabled island where the Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned. Its Musée de la Mer houses the remnants of ancient shipwrecks in the area. Should you tire of sightseeing on foot, of course, the star-studded beaches of Cannes are never far away and let you perfect your tan in peace.
Host to the splashy Cannes Film Festival every year, Cannes really knows how to roll out the red carpet. This is evident in the very chic and high-end French couture shops of Croisette, though Rue Meynadier rivals it in historic charm. Its produce stands vending cheese and bread sit next door to cozy boutiques, all leading up to Le Suquet. Nibble on baguettes or pour the latest Bordeaux at your table in the Rue St. Antoine or Rue du Suquet, both charming confections of historic charm and cutting edge cuisine. As night falls, these same streets heat up with nightlife options and a club scene that keeps things thumping until dawn. For something more low key, a nighttime stroll among the sea breezes or a show at the Espace Miramar will send you off to bed in style.
Whether you’ve been drawn to Cannes by its glitzy shopping, beautiful harbor, or cobbled streets, our hotels in Cannes give you an opportunity to make the most of your stay. From the stylish rooms to the impeccable service and full amenities, you won’t have to sacrifice any of your desires when you choose an IHG hotel.
