Firstly, I want to say that the stay for an entire team over the course of 9 days overall was an awesome experience. The hotel beds/rooms accommodations was extremely accommodating and for that
reason I will continue to go to the Holiday Inn, HOWEVER: I will be very Leary with going to any restaurant within the hotel based on my experience at this particular hotel.
I went in to the EnoBAR + Kitchen, well after lunch time and well before any dinner rush, in fact when I came in there was one other table of 2 people that were in the process of paying. I went in by myself to have a late lunch. I was seated promptly and informed that my server would be with me. I observed approx. 6 people (including one kitchen staff) setting up the restaurant for what seemed to be a buffet and dinner service... not once being acknowledged, after sitting for 10 minutes with my menu I asked if I could get service. I gentleman came over and asked what I would like to drink, I told him that I was ready to order as well. After taking my order, he came back approx. 5 minutes later, without a drink, standing halfway between my table and the kitchen door asking me what i'd ordered again, I repeated feeling rather perturbed that he couldn't even come all the way to my table. He brought my drink, along with a glass of water, sometime later my meal, at which point informed me that he was leaving and someone would be taking over.
I finished my meal and in the mean time two more tables came....by no means was the restaurant busy, they had an abundance of staff.... and yet at no point did anyone come and ask me how my meal was or how I was doing. I finished my meal, waited for my bill which never came and then got up and went to the hostess station to ask for my bill. At this point, I'm upset and let the hostess know of the sub par service, to which she started to make an excuse of setting up for the hockey game. I told her to keep her excuses to herself, that I wasn't going to be tipping as well as not coming back. In addition telling the entire team of my experience and not to patron the restaurant. Our team bill for the entire stay was just over 17,000$ for the 9 days. Extremely disappointed with the restaurant service. [Less]
