Was very please I was able to check in @ noon. (I did request an early check in) I did get a ground floor, as requested but it was 101 by the entrance and the outside door was so heavy it slammed!
Luckily I did not here it in bed. Mostly foyer & bathroom where you could here the toilet flush & shower running!
I didn't get back to hotel till 10 pm the first night because we were at mt Rushmore...the parking lot was full! There were guest with multiple items the worse being moving van & trailer taking up 9 spots, & then there was a truck, motorcycle & enclosed trailer, then a trailer with 4 bicycles, & finally a car from Colorado who took 2 spots! I ended up parking over at the comfort suites! For the price I paid I couldn't even park! Now I understand the property really can't control it but it was Inconvenient for me since I was alone.
Then Tuesday morning I walked by the breakfast area before opening & saw guest helping themselves to available items so I jumped in since I was starting my day early. Well, the male attendant wasn't really happy about it as he grumled trying to get things in place. Unfortunately people are impatient, therefore the logistics may have to be flexible.
Finally, you may want to check your linen; the bath mat & 2 towels should have been pulled out of service due to they were fraying at the edges! Also I elected to go green & did not receive my 500 points for doing so.
I choose to stay at a Holiday Inn or express because of the reputation & my past experience but this experience will make me research other properties in the area if I visit Custer again. [Less]
