Tengwang Pavilion is located on the shore of the Gan. Together with Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Pavilion, this fine building is one of the three most notable pavilions on south side of the Yangtze River. It also has the reputation of being the 'First Pavilion of Xijiang River' and has been widely admired by visitors from all over the world. In terms of its height, overall size and architectural style, this pavilion is a prime example of such buildings for which China is justifiably famous.

Nanchang is also a city of hero, the fame of which is endowed by the Nanchang Uprising happened in August 1, 1927. to commemorate the big event, August 1 is confirmed to be the birthday of Chinese Communist. The Ausut 1 Nanchang Uprising Monument in the soutn end of the People's Square is a symbolic building of the city center.

Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall is a special memorial hall set up to commemorate the Nanchang Uprising. It was established in 1956 and officially opened to the outside world in 1959. In 1961, it was announced by the State Council as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in China.
