I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Sydney....the area where this hotel is located is excellent, within walking distance to the center of the city

This has become my favourite Sydney stay hotel for business and pleasure.
Great central location, onsite parking and next to the train station, close to buses and taxis.
Rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable.
Best of all - the staff are very welcoming and helpful.

It is first time in Sydney, we are lucky to stay in Holdiy inn Potts Point with clean room, competitive room rate, good location, very friendly hotel staff. It is all within walking distance to CBD, China town, Hyde park , Royal botanic gardens. Coles supermarket is just oppsite to hotel street, many restaurant , bars aroud the hoel, airport shuttle bus travel to /from the hotel in half an hour. I ' ll be back if i were in Sydney again.

The room size though a bit small was still pretty much adequate. Check in was smooth and fast (though we were not specially treated as IHG Gold members - as is normal in other IHG hotels I have stayed before). Nevertheless, early check in was allowed which was a big relief.
The best thing for the hotel is the excellent location. Just across Kings Cross station and almost 2-3 stops away from all main locations whether Martin Pl or Townhall or Bondi Junction. Coles and other eating places are around. Medical clinic and hospital near by.
Free wifi was provided as IHG member.
The receptionist was very nice person, in the absence of the concierge he himself helped us with our luggage.
On site parking is available, though expensive - but that's the case generally in Sydney, expensive parkings. Overall the room, comfort, housekeeping service, cleanliness etc. all were great. No noise or other disturbances, good sleep.
Will stay again if in Sydney. Highly recommend to all. Also, great value for money.

The stay at Holiday Inn was excellent as always, with one exception.
My wife is asthmatic and very sensitive to smells/perfumes, etc. while noticeable on previous visits (alone), the HI Scent placed through the aircon in the foyer in particular set her off quite badly, to the point where she cannot stay at this hotel again.
I cannot stress enough that the placing of artificial scents through the general aircon is very off-putting to some people - what is wrong with just fresh air???

Hotel is located at strategic location and is near to the train station and that makes a perfect place to be in the city.. It is also close to Airport, so money spent on taxi was also not too bad. The room is nice, had no issue at all. One of my colleague had some issue with noice at late night because her room was facing the street where there are some bars and people were drinking and talking loud until late night etc, but my side of the room had no such issue. Overall nice place to stay.

Lovely bed and choice of pillows. Room was an upgrade to twin queen beds. I was absolutely very impressed with the appearance and the smiles and the congenial attitude of reception staff at both checkin and checkout . I don't remember when I have been so impressed. I have stayed at the Waldorf Astoria several times and was not so impressed as at this hotel. Breakfast staff were inattentive and not openly helpful. Although there was fair choice of food the bacon was like leather and I gave up trying to eat it. Orange juice did not taste like good quality juice so did not drink it. Overall I was sorry I had breakfast there and every more sorry I paid for it. Good value hotel some of the staff were exceptional bed and pillows a big plus. Thanks for reading.

Personnel at the front desk were attentive from time of check in and were informative throughout the stay. The quality of our room met all of our expectations.
