Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding staff From front-desk check-in until final check-out the staff we encountered were great, all very friendly and capable. However, one of the two rooms we reserved had a very strong odor in it that made sleep and relaxation difficult; the other room was fine. (Cooking in room previously???). The breakfast was well presented with many choices. Our biggest disappointment was the swimming - despite being very hot outside, the pool was so cold neither the children nor adults in our group could enjoy it and we are all water bugs. The hot tub was hot, but very crowded due to the coldness of the pool keeping people out... October 1, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by close to work and great staff The front desk staff was great and there was great service from the security guard that roam around the building at night checking doors and escorting front desk staff to their cars late at night after their shift is done. the breakfast was very good and the staff that worked the breakfast was very courteous. we had problems getting extra towels for the bathroom, but we just kept walking the the laundry room and picking up more. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Stay I dislike writing negative reviews, but in this case, can't help it. From the outside and in the lobby, the hotel looks great. Front desk service was very poor. Agent was on the phone. No welcome or recognition of frequent guest status. Room was hot. Mold in the shower area, an indication of poor cleaning habits. Room was very "plain" with no wallpaper or similar. We stayed in another HI Express the next night and the room was much better, even though the hotel was considerably older. Breakfast was very poor. Out of some items. Has to ask for paper plates to be replenished twice. Breakfast staff did not seem engaged. September 29, 2015
