Front desk

The man at the front desk (I forgot his name) was excellent. He told me his name I told him the last time I stayed at a hotel they had keys. I got to my room unpacked and the phone rang. I was apprehensive to answer it as no one knew I was there. It was the front desk checking on me and he said he was on duty until 7 if I needed anything don't hesitate to call the front desk. That really made me feel great. I felt at ease being there by myself. Great staff!!!!

I was very disappointed my stay was not very comfortable as the room was dirty and smelled of uncleanliness. The bed sheets were soiled. Not happy at all!!

If you want basic accommodations at a reasonable price then this is a good hotel. I didn't realize that the hotel is located on the I-5 side of the freeway so there are not as many restaurant and shopping options as located on the 99 freeway side. I love to work out and the fitness room was tiny. 2 of the 3 machines didn't work well and need to be replaced. The AC was on full blast and there were no directions on how to shut off.

Room was worn out

I found my room to be worn out. The furniture had very noticable dings and gouges. The desk chair had holes worn thru each of the arm rests. The bathroom fixtures looked as if they had never been wiped clean. The tub was deteriorating and the finish was cracking. The location is pretty good and the internet worked well. To earn my business in the future the rooms if they are all like this one need a serious refresh. I am usually a fan of HIE, but this one was a disappointment. Lack of Staff

Staff has the habit of not being present. no idea what they do. Every evening we had to wait for more then 10 minutes to get someone at front desk. We stayed for a week, work related. Saturday at checkout, same problem, nobody showed up for 20 minutes.
Laundry machines are also malfunctioning and staff not really helpful.
I will only stay there because we have a corporate rate otherwise i would try the one 15 minutes to the east.
