I hadn't stayed at a Holiday Inn in quite some time but due to this hotel's reviews, I chose to book this hotel for two days. I was not disappointed in anyway. From check-in to check-out, the staff were amazing, kind and engaging. The room was more than we even imagined it would be. We had extra pillows, coffee, tea, large bathroom with shower. It was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. The black-out curtains were excellent for the long white nights. I would recommend this to anyone going to Helsinki and I will definitely stay here again when I return for a longer stay.

The great thing about this hotel is its location. It is right next to the train and bus station and within walking distance to most of the important tourist attractions. It is covenient to use the Finnair bus from the airport as its final destination is smack in front of the hotel. Loads of places to eat nearby. The supermarket and the main shopping centres are within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable. Front desk staff are great. The only disappointment is the breakfast. The breakfast area is small and it is not smooth flowing. If you came during the early morning busy time, you keep bumping into a lot of the people when collecting your breakfast. The items served - fruits, bread, croissants etc nothing seemed fresh or appealing. The breakfast room staff are a little abrupt.

the Hotel is nice although a bid old in and outside. the room looked a bid oldfashioned but was working well. the bathroom was renovated and very functional and nice. there could dbe some more amenities in the bathroom, i.e. bodycream.
only thing to complain was the bed. the matresses were much too soft which made sleeping a bid uncomfortable.
The staff were all very nice and friendly, as it seems most Finns are :-)
Will stay here again if visiting Helsinki again.

This is a good hotel, value for money and has excellent location next to the central railway station and across the road from Finnair airport bus. Staff are good and helpful.
The room airconditioning is poor. Helsinki was having a period of unusual hot weather and the rooms were very hot and could not be relieved by the centrally controlled climate control.
Breakfast is good quality but monotonous. If you stay for more than a few days, you quickly tire of the menu.
The hotel reception will not accept payment by travellers cheques in euros and the staff say they have never heard of this form of payment! This seems unusual for Holiday Inn standards.

The hotel has an excellent location next to the Central Train Station and the final stop for the airport bus and close to the major sights. The room is clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. They serve a decent buffet breakfast. I saw they have a sauna (which seems to be the norm for Finland) but did not get to try it. As I use a breathing machine in my sleep, my only complaint is that the only power plug next to the bed (used for the bedside light) turns off with the room light. The power plug next to the desk was too far for the electric cord.
