Get Political in Töölö
The Töölö neighbourhood has so much history and architecture to explore that you will want to plan a full day here. Töölö is also home to the Olimpic Stadium, the largest stadium in the country. Other worthy attractions to visit here include the Finnish National Museum and the Parliament Building. Beach Life in Lauttasaari
If you want to escape the busy tourist areas for a night, then Lauttasaari is the place to do it. On a warm sunny day, Casino Beach in Merikylpylän puisto park is the place to go for volleyball, swimming or just taking a nap on the beach. Spend the Day Shopping in Itakeskus
While most of Helsinki's neighbourhoods offer some type of shopping, Itakeskus is home to the country's largest indoor shopping centre. You will have to ride the Helsinki metro line all the way to the end to find Itakeskus, but the abundance of markets, shopping malls and tea rooms make it worth it. Make sure you check out the Pearl Tower (Helmitorni), the country's second-largest building.

Find Peace and Quiet in Viikki
Located at the bottom of the Vanhankaupunginlahti Bay is the relaxing neighbourhod of Viikki. Once you enter into the Viikki neighbourhood, you will immediately notice a more relaxing vibe. There are wide-open parks and ample hiking trails to explore. Vikki is also a great destination to get to know Helsinki's nature side. The Lammassari park and the Korkesarri Zoo both promise a relaxing experience among nature.

Explore Architecture in Valilia
On the North-Western portion of Helsinki is the industrial district of Valilia. While this neighbourhood offers affordable housing to many of the city's industrial workers, it is also a popular destination to visit if you enjoy historical architecture. You can still view some of the wood houses (Puu-Vallilas), that were popular in the area years ago. Saint Paul's Church is also on the top of many sightseer's lists. The Linnanmaki Amusement Park is also in Valilia and is ideal for adrenaline enthusiasts.
