Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rochester West-Medical Center
Beautiful motel inside and out. Just want to say you need to call before you check in to see if your IHG requests are being fulfilled. If they are not that important to you, all is well. The food is[More] excellent. If you go down to breakfast a bit later many of the items are empty and you may have to wait for refills, no problem if you are not in a hurry.[Less]
Excellent Place to stay for Mayo's visitors
By Master Gracey
We stayed here for a visit to Mayo's and it was a perfect place to stay for this visit. The nightly dinner took the guess work out of picking restaurants after a long day of appointments. The staff[More] was friendly and the hotel was very clean. Excellent amenities for my handicap mother in law. All day shuttles to the downtown hospital areas.[Less]
Great Rooms and Beds
The pillows and towels need to be replaced.
The towels are rough and the pillows are too soft.[Less]
I have stayed at many IHG Properties. This one is very different. Most of the guests are coming and going all day long to and from their appointments at Mayo Clinic. Because most people in the hotel[More] are traveling from out of town they are most likely very sick and they and their families are very stressed. I forget the name of the morning front desk attendant...i apologize as she needs to be recognized. Each day I was there she had a guest treat her very rudely and she handled it extremely well. I asked her about it and she told me she realizes that the guests are under a lot of stress and that taking care of the guests in this situation is one of the reasons she likes her job. Amazing. During my stay I was able to talk to the manager (Sarah) she was also very helpful. Chris is the maintenance guy and he helped me with a quick repair for my RV. Awesome guy. Rachel will check you in at night and is very very helpful. Every staff member I came in touch with went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.
The rooms are clean and modern. Although many times a great stay comes from a modern and clean room...the staff at this place is what makes the difference.[Less]
Excellent hotel to stay in Rochester, MN
This is an excellent hotel to stay in Rochester. Rooms were well decorated with modern styling and bathroom is very spacious. Walking distance to Mayo Clinic but they also have shuttle service.[More]

Staff at this hotel is extremely pleasent and helpful.[Less]

Perfect for a Mayo Appointment
Super close to the Gonda, parking attached with a peaceful stay overall[Less]
Room was very clean and the front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but well maintained.[Less]
While the location is superb (for my needs) and the bed very comfortable, the public areas and bathrooms could use some updating. The shower area was a little moldy and the very outdated. However,[More] the water pressure was good. The room temperature was good and black-out curtains helped keep streetlights and sun out.
Front desk staff was courteous but not as friendly as past visits. You also pay to park at this location.[Less]
