Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No concideration for third guest. Although the reception staff were friendly. The room we stayed in was a room with two double beds. The room rate was £25 more expensive with a third guest yet the third guest was not catered for in any way what so ever. There were still only two cups provided for tea and coffee making facilities. There were still only two lots of toiletries etc.. Other than sleeping in a bed that was already in the room I fail to see any provision the hotel made for the third guest. When paying for third guest I would expect at least the courtesy of an extra cup. The face towel was covered in black marks. There was a function taking place and although we were two floors up the noise made it impossible to sleep. The walls are paper thin and you can hear next door clearly. The hotels token gesture for the noise was an omission of a £7 parking charge and 1000 reward club points uhmm.. Sorry Holiday inn but I don't think we will be returning. April 19, 2016

Best bit - great purposeful curtains that block out the light - the only way to sleep well for me! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dissapointed We were attending a wedding at the hotel and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in an executive room .. We arrived at about 3.00 pm after a 4.5 hour drive... to be told our room was not ready but they gave some vouchers for a drink however the poor girl on her own behind the bar was trying to serve drinks and take food orders.., short staffing is not a good sign in a hotel... after about 40 mins the receptionist returned to say the room was now ready and she left us with a key only to return 5 minutes later to say we couldn't get into the room as it was being repaired... so we then had to wait again for another room. We did however receive a nice bottle of wine for the trouble.. In the evening we intended to eat in the bar however some foods were not available and again a shortage of staff so we ate outside of the hotel. The room was comfortable but the shower was very poor... room could have done with a bit of an update but not too bad, At the wedding on the Sunday again a shortage of staff in the function room there were 120 guests and 2 staff at the bar.. some largers not available and Guinness off you had to go downstairs to the other bar !!! I think if this had been my wedding I would have been very disappointed .. the main course was not very nice and the service was a bit abrupt the staff just wanted to get the food onto and off the table as quick as possible... The only good thing is there was plenty of parking and it is centrally located. Sorry IHG you need to get these problems sorted out April 15, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, spacious hotel Great hotel with spacious family rooms. Have stayed on previous occasions and used the leasure facilities but no time this visit. Did not have breakfast at the hotel due to price - went elsewhere, Not the cheapest hotel but with Holiday Inn Express you are assured of the quality of the hotel. Will use again but will book well in advance to try and get a better price. April 13, 2016
