I’ll start of by saying the staff and the way the hotel is run is by far a top notch experience! From the front desk to cleaning staff, they are so friendly and always helpful.
Now on to the not
bad but also not great part of the stay. I stayed for vacation and the first thing you want to start a day of relaxing with is a Geat breakfast, which I just didn’t get. I’ll be completely honest, I’m not shy about spending money on my food but it should be above cafeteria grade. After the first morning, I would take a walk to a nearby cafe to get something as simple as fresh scrambled eggs and bacon made to order. But it’s a tropical island so a walk down the block is nothing to complain about by far.
My only other gripe was the bathroom amenities. There’s no exhaust fan in the bathroom and I can completely understand why they don’t want us hanging we bathing suits outside but I was finding that our things just were not fully drying overnight. And the shower head really needs an update. I say that specifically because if you are going to stay at a hotel that is as luxurious as an Intercontinental, you wouldn’t expect to have hard water issues. [Less]
