I cannot remember a stay at an IHG property that i was this discouraged. Upon pulling up to the property there was big trucks everywhere taking three or more parking spots. Our room smelled of smoke. We could only get one key card because they were out. The breakfast was lacking the normal staples of a Holiday Inn Express. No pancakes or cinnamon rolls. They were out. I am not sure how this happens. I would stay away from this IHG property.

Location is near a few good restaurants (Joe's Crab Shack, Chart House and Buckeheads) all within what would be considered about a block away. Room is comfortably apportioned. It also seems to be in a quiet area as I didn't notice any traffic sounds while I was in my room. Has a long list of TV stations in the room including several HBO and sports channels.

Having 2 year old toddler, I prefer Holiday Inn Express to other upscale hotels because it has a spacious room with a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Free wifi a breakfast is a bonus.
Before the trip, I read a review and the person was talking about broken pancake machine at the breakfast, and surprisingly at my stay it was still broken.
I am a platinum member of IHG but I was never acknowledged, offered any extra welcome services at check-in or check-out. That's a minus.

Spent two nights at this property. Unfortunately, they were having issues with the Internet, so I wasn't able to connect at all during my two nights. There was no choice of fruit during breakfast other than mushy apples. Usually they have cinnamon rolls, those were out too, and the pancake machine was inoperative. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was inviting and helpful and apologized for the wireless connection problems.

As we got to this hotel, the first issue was that the snow and ice had not been removed form anywhere but the front entrance. Side walks and side entrances were slick and the parking spaces were limited due to the piled snow. Inside the room, which was clean and pleasant, the remote did not work. We attempted to get new batteries several times but there was a line at the desk. When I did talk to the manager the second day, she gave me batteries which did not work to correct the problem with the remote. I did not return to ask for more assistance, as she was busy with a guest whose room key was not working. No tv for two nights. At breakfast, the juice machine did not work. When I mentioned this to the staff, they said it had been making noises and was unplugged so they put a sign on it. The only juice was in the little fridge and was frozen, so we could not drink any juice or water for two mornings. Also, there were people in rooms above us being very noisy. The floors creaked when anyone just walked on them, so it was a sleepless night. A decent motel overall, but in need of better customer service and attention to guests.

Welcome lacked lustre, and the checkout procedure was hardly efficient but everything else in between was great. The room was very big, clean and a great selection of channels on the TV

Overall, I like the hotel. It was clean and had a nice TV with Directv. The only drawback was that you can hear a lot of noise in the room. Floors have no sound barrier.
