Worst Experience Ever

I booked a prepaid suite through American Express Platinum services on 10/11/2019. When I made it to the hotel, mind you I just got off a 11 hour flight from Italy and not feeling well, I was informed that the suite was not available and that they were sold out and that I would have to get a lower rate room and that they could give me amenity points.... I get them anyway considering my membership level with ihg. When I asked about the rate the guy tells me that he send everything over to Amex as far as the changes. I called Amex and they stated that no one had reached out to them and they had no knowledge of the suite being sold out. Smh!!! To top it off I pulled into the main entrance thinking valet or the bellman would help nope, not at all, I got out of my suv, opened the trunk, and no one moved an inch. They can’t say that it was busy because I was the only car up there and there were 3 gentleman (bellman) standing around talking and looking down but not at me. Fine... I proceed to get back in my car and drive down to the parking garage. Come up through the elevators in the main lobby pass by the bellman and went to the reception desk. Still no one offered to help a female with 3 pieces of luggage. And here is one more for you.. please intercontinental Buckhead, not everyone knows the layout of your hotel... please direct people to were your guest rooms are. I had to ask a guest which way to the guest elevators because he saw me wondering around with my 3 pieces of luggage. I was supposed to extend my stay another week, I did however take advantage of the 4pm late checkout, heck I paid for it anyway, I checked out and took my business to another brand. This is unacceptable!!! Status or no status!!! You have to do better. You never know who your next guest will be but it definitely won’t be me.
