My husband and I planned on staying only one night at the Candlewood Suites in Memphis, but ended up staying four nights.
We did have an issue with the toilet the first night and the staff were great and moved us to a different room the next day without any hesitation. The Manager Julie and her staff were great and there to help us with any questions we had.
Would definitely stay here again

I am a Gold Member so understand that I consider the Candlewood properties everytime I need lodging. Infact I am staying at another great site in Dallas Texas this week. Also note that I never write reviews...
This location had several guests that did not consider others and the hotel did nothing to fix the issue. I had a mother and son playing kick ball out side my room in the coridor at 10 PM on a work day - my second night there. I had several beligerant party goers laughing and yelling until 3 AM the next night. I called down twice one at 1 AM when I was woken up and then at 3 AM - finaly they shut them up. By 5 AM they were back at it!
In the morning they asked me how my stay was - I had maybe 2 hours of sleep and had a very long drive a head of me so I told them it was terrible and I would never be back! The said sorry about that and please don't say that...that was all they did. I will never stay there again and if I owned your company I would remove my name from that building.

I had to mail a letter, finished it on Saturday, and gave it to the front desk to mail. It was late, around 2PM. I noticed on Sunday, it was still on the counter behind the front desk. Monday, after working all day, I noticed it was still on the counter. The clerk said she would take it to the mailbox right then. That was on 1-15. As of 1-20, the addressee still had not received it. I'm not sure it ever got mailed.
There was a severe rainstorm. Water leaked into my room. My computer bag got soaked, along with a pair of jeans. I was moved to another room, where I could not receive some channels on the TV that I did in the other room.
They did credit me for one night for the flooded floor.

Cold showers, the only way to take a warm shower was to shower in the evening, if you showered in the morning, it was cold. There were two washing machines and four dryers, only one washing machine worked, one dryer worked well, two were just so-so and the fourth was broken. Found a half dead roach on my floor. Housekeeping came once during my entire two week stay. Front desk only open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. I had to go to the airport before the front desk opened, so I gave them a heads-up the night before, still no receipt. I had to call to get my receipt, and they still had me checked in two weeks later and charging my credit card. So it's probably safe to assume that housekeeping still hadn't visited my room after I left (4 weeks).

Great hotel and staff. Loved the kitchen! Lots of good restaurants in area. Friendly. Little store on site was great!

The new on site manager (who just celebrated her 1 year anniversary at this hotel) has turned this hotel around. Much better than it had been before. Our company stays here upwards off 100 room/nights per year most years and we are happy to see the new faces!
Olivia has been the shining star of this hotel for several years and should be recognized for her efforts. She has worked hard to make us welcome and it's always nice to see her.
