Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just ok The beds are horribly uncomfortable. The staff was nice and Brady's is a pretty good place to get food and drinks. There are some perks to the rooms.. They are big, the bathrooms are big and have storage. There are lots of t.v. channels. But the beds are so hard and uncomfortable along with the uncomfortable pillows that I couldn't move my neck after staying there a couple of days . The other big drawback was the difficulty connecting to the internet.. and you couldn't call the help desk directly, you have to call the front desk who will then call them and call you back. The good part was the front desk staff was very nice and took care of it quickly. I also had an issue with the housekeeping staff coming in the room when the do not disturb sign was on the door. If they would get better beds, I would recommend the hotel but if you want a good nights sleep and wake up without pain in your back and neck, I can't recommend it right now April 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room and accomodating staff My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Trevose. The staff was truly helpful and accomodating. Even when we were out sightseeing the staff helped us with an address to one of our destinations. We waited for nothing. The hotel was clean and all of our needs were met. It was within 30 minutes of all the great must see places like Independence Hall, the African American History Museum, the Liberty Bell, and Penns Landing. If you like gambling, Parx Casino was barely 5 minutes away. Do not forget to ask them about local places to eat. They gave us a great breakfast suggestion and then handed us a list of restaurants and diners. We were very happy with our stay. April 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Stay My husband and I stayed at this Crowne Plaza for two nights, using points. Our room was on the fifth floor, one of two levels accessible only by card. Although the room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable, there was a lot of noise from the heating unit, the street, and the room above, which didn't make for the most restful of nights. What was more disturbing, however, is that on our second night, we tried to phone for a wake-up call, only to find the phones in the room were not working. We resorted to using the alarm clock, but discovered by chance in the middle of the night that the clock had the wrong AM/PM setting, so the alarm would not go off when needed (thank goodness for cell phone alarms!). When we went to check out the next morning and told the front desk attendant about the phones, we were informed that none of the phones in the hotel were working! They had never bothered to post any kind of notice to let their patrons know about the problem. In addition, as Priority Club members, we've usually been offered a free bottle of water at other Holiday Inn properties. Here, we were charged $2. When I saw someone getting two bottles at no cost the next morning, I was told I could have another bottle (for free), but that they "usually" did charge. I questioned that because of my previous experience at Holiday Inn Express, and was told "That's a different chain, so they have different policies." Aren't they all part of the same company? The nicest thing I can say is that for a hotel chain, the food in the restaurant was reasonably priced. April 12, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who expects the "normal" and "quality" the Plaza brand offers. The staff acted very indifferent to any and all requests. I experienced this first hand by the service i received and also witnessed guests being treated as an inconvience by the front desk staff. As a VERY SMALL example, The lobby coffee is available to priority club members for free and everyone else is charged $2.00. The cups are kept behind the counter out of the reach of the guests.....In order to get a cup, you have to wait in line behind guests trying to checking or handle other business.....really? Concerned about someone being dishonest over a cup of coffee? If that isnt bad enough, The creamer, sugar, etc aren't stocked regularly. Forget about asking the desk for any of these items because they will have you walk to the restaurant to get the nonexistent supplies you're told are over there. I saw one particular young lady behind the desk essentially telling off another guest because of a disagreement over what hotel "package" she book.....just terrible. Then there is the rooms, PAPER thin walls. You hear everything and everything going on in the halls and the adjacent rooms. I normally don't write reviews.....however, business travelers, steer clear unless you are a very tolerant person. While I have never stayed in an economy branded hotel, I left wondering if I would have been better off there instead of this one. April 3, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dated hotel with frequent problems - good food/bev I have stayed at this location several times in the past few months and almost always have a problem in the room. Depending on location, internet is spotty. Other memorable challenges - missing outlets, leaking shower, inconsistent shower temperature, non-functioning heat (cold room) and an odd odor in one of the rooms. On the good side, the pub has a great beer selection and the food is decent. Staff has always been helpful. Summary - the hotel is old with typical problems. If you have the option, pick a better hotel. March 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms for Wedding We spent an enjoyable weekend at the Crowne Plaza for our sons wedding. The accomadations were excellent and the breakfasts were very enjoyable. The staff was excellent and and very helpful. We were appreciative of the security on the upper floors. I would definitely stay athere if the necessity arose and would recommend to all as the place to stay. March 24, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean hotel, easy to find. Great hotel, clean, quiet rooms. Very disappointed in the gym. Outdated equipment and broken machinery (elliptical). March 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good people Good hotel but even better staff. I thought I had lost a considerable amount of money in the hotel room after I checked out and they were very professional in helping me to find it. I later found it in my own luggage and left the maid a nice tip but the way they handled themselves through what was a tough ordeal for me was very professional and I would stay there again if in the area. Thanks to the staff at Crown Plaza! February 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Staff, Very nice experience. We were In Philly to visit a sick relative. At our check out I was telling the desk clerk about our visit to the hospital and was told that I get a discount when the stay was related to that particular hospital. I would have never known that. Thank you. Also the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the restaurant serves a very nice breakfast buffet..We enjoyed our stay and will definetly go back.... February 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleasent stay The stay was very comfortable and everyone was very helpfull. I was traveling home for funeral of a family member. Everything worked out fine. February 24, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, free internet, breakfast could improve I have been going to Crowne Plaza, at least twice a year, for the last 5 years. Good value for money. Pros: -Very comfortable beds -Good service -Free internet - Good selection of beers at the bar Cons: - Poor breakfast (but better than first years): would appreciate lactose-free milk and wider selection of fruit - Corridors may need renovation February 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Visiting Trenton The hotel premises are standard but the personnell at the desk made a difference!! Helpful and nice. In the middle of no better alternatives February 10, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK, I guess... I stayed two nights in late January 2013. I found the room to be very noisy due to 1) proximity to US Rt 1 [avoid even # rooms] and 2) extremely loud heating unit. I was "upgraded" to the priority club (6th floor) but there were no additional amenities that I could detect. Totally weird card on the desk promoting alcohol consumption at the lobby bar (see photo). Bed was comfortable and bath was nicely appointed (towels, shampoo etc.). I didn't turn on the TV. Wifi was free but extraordinarily slow (2 Mb/s at best) to the point that it was unusable. Restauraunt service was spotty, slow and food itself uninspired. On the positive side, the international theme of the restaurant included an Iranian flag hanging from the ceiling which greatly pleased one of my travel companions who is originally from Iran. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Almost everything we expected... ...with the exception of being able to use the pool/spa area. Though the reservation had been made at least 2 weeks prior to our visit, no mention was made of the fact the pool/spa area would be closed for renovations during our sta. Unfortunately, that was a major feature in our choice of Crowne Plaza this trip over other hotels in the area. If we had known we could have booked elsewhere for this stay. However, the room was clean and comfortable, on the quiet side, and we had a great night's sleep! Can't wait to see the new, updated spa area. February 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by having an event...have it here I've been involved with running a mini-conference for years at this hotel..best staff ever...wonderful meeting rooms, sleeping rooms.....can't say enough positive things about this place...everyone attends to your needs....and the food is great as well February 4, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, unbearable internet connection The hotel overall was quite nice. I would recommend it for anyone who doesn't need a strong internet connection for work. I have stayed here twice hoping that connection speeds would improve. I won't be coming back. They are so slow it makes opening up simple email painful. January 30, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Acceptable Needed a night for business, nothing out of the ordinary. Good restaurant. January 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay but............... Have stayed at this particular Crowne Plaza now 3 times when I'm in the area for business. The place is clean, the staff helpful, and bar is friendly. My only negative is the television serivce. It flat out stinks........analog, horrible channel selection, and terrible picture quality. Thankfully I brought my laptop and watched HBOGO!! For a hotel of this quality they truly need to upgrade tv service. January 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel I love this Hotel because of its friendly and warm service, clean comfortable room and great bar. The price was not bad at all! January 20, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not stay here The TV reception was terrible. Th room had a mini-fridge which was nice but unfortunately it did not work very well. I chose this hotel because it had an indoor pool and my daughter likes to go swimming when we are traveling but the chlorine was so strong we couldn't stay in the pool area very long. The service in the restaurant during breakfast was bad as well. January 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel We would definitely stay here again. The facilities were very nice, the staff accommodating and the breakfast was great! The hotel is kept up very nicely. I have been staying here for several years when I come to the city although it had been under another name. January 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business Travel A clean hotel, with a wonderful staff. I stay here often and upgrades can be hit or miss. Sometimes they move me to executives level and sometimes not. I'd say its 50% odds of an upgrade. Onsite restaurant is good. Easy access to highways and in a great central location. January 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff Kudos to the entire staff; excellent in attitude and service, thank you! January 10, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Loud, Run Down, and No Restaurant for Dinner I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel backs up to a trunpike. While it's not unusual for a hotel to be located so close to a major highway, this is what makes it so convenient, the noise that passes through the walls/windows is unacceptable. The sound of the traffic kept me up all night. The next morning I was moved to a room on the side opposite the turnpike. I had to wait an hour to get a roomkey because the keycard system was down. This room was much quieter. IF YOU ARE GOING TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL, BE SURE TO ASK FOR A ROOM ON THE SIDE OPPOSITE THE TURNPIKE. This hotel has a lounge and restaurant. Access to these is through an entryway marked "Restaurant Row". The restaurant is open for breakfast, but not for dinner. Dinner is only available at the lounge - as you can guess, it's all "bar food" - sandwiches and fries. The hotel is showing signs of aging and the maintenance work isn't very good - in-room refridgerators are VERY loud (turn it off if you stay here), carpet is tattered where it meets tiling, signs of water damage, very sloppy plaster patching, furniture banged up, paint splatter evrywhere, paint marks on everything from being bumped into while painting... There is a nice desk to work at in the room and a power strip mounted on the side of the desk. The TV does not rotate and is not visible from the desk. This hotel is far from typical of the Intercontinental Hotels Group hotels that I stay at. Most have been updated, are well maintained, and are relatively quiet even when next to a major highway. This hotel is falls well below average. January 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst hotel ever The heating system is very loud and turns on constantly. There is no way to sleep. There are lousy people outside even after midnight. Service is unfriendly. There is no safe to store your valuables. The coffee maker doesn't work. January 4, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by no thank you I am a member of several hotel chain reward programs, gold or platinum status with all of them. I feel that I know what to expect and what is poor or excellent service. This place is disappointing. Go past the lobby and see everything is chipped or fractured in some way. Main restaurant was closed, something they could have notified us of ahead of time. It was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. I walked into my room, saw the thermostat at 60 degrees the day after Christmas. It was cold and snow was expected. The maintenance man had to be called because both the wall unit and the function panel on the main unit didn't work. Had to be done underside of the unit in order to work. Heat kicks on. Only my wife and I woke up in the middle of the night freezing again because the unit turned itself back off. The complimentary robes were not used. They are thin and feel like they were washed in a mixture of bleach and starch, then air dried as far away from a heat source as one could manage. There are softer forms of sandpaper. You just knew if you used one some sort of skin irritation would happen. The highway is right outside the hotel. Very loud at night unless you are willing to sleep with the t.v. on. Before we headed out that night, we noticed that the rain was casing a leak in the hall ceiling about 2 feet in length. We told the guy working the front desk. They did nothing. I didn't expect it to be fixed, but they could have put up one of those warning signs, but then again, that would not have been discrete so maybe that is why nothing was done. I personally saw 2 others walking with their luggage get nailed by the water drops because they weren't expecting that. By morning, we saw on our way out that there was not only water soaking the carpet there, but bits of plaster as well. The next morning, we woke up and saw we had major water seepage in the ceiling in several areas of our room too. We high tailed it out of there. This was intended to be a night away from home and the in-laws for myself and my wife. Thank God I had better gifts under the tree for her. The next morning we discover that there is no breakfast buffet anymore. It all just seemed like the place needed to get itself together. I spent 2 times as much dining across the street for dinner than I did on the room and thought it was well worth it. I left the hotel feeling as if I overpaid. Really did not feel as if they were trying at all. January 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by overall good condition and stay Overall this hotel is of a good quality for price, room condition was good, monitoring heat/ac was not easy to do...temp would not change to what I wanted. January 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place To Stay This is a great hotel in the NE Philly, South Jersey even New York City markets. A short drive to Center City or South Jersey. A short drive to the Trenton train station for a cheap quick alternative to driving to the New York City sights. The restaurant and bar have quality food/drinks as well as friendly bar tenders and wait staff. The front desk people are all excellent and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The even have a nice heated pool and a hot tub just off the exercise room. December 4, 2012
