Maid service placed my toiletries on a towel--nice touch and attention to detail
Lobby dining options nice for a person on the go. . .. Coffee and breakfast pastries, sushi, and full service restaurant. Also, nice room service menu.
Quite pleased with the hotel and its convenient location to LAX as a drop-in visitor to Los Angeles.
Also, a tracking map in the lobby for the location of the hotel shuttle, which is operating 24/7.

The help desk was rude. The "priority club" check in line was empty and even when someone arrived, they were slow enough for two people in the regular line to be checked in before I was done. Three stays there this year and the same thing every time.

Very convenient to the LAX airport. The hotel was pleasant and bed extremely comfortable. Only negative was the wait for the airport shuttle - we had to wait way over 1/2 hour while other airport shutlles had come by 2 or 3 times. Very unacceptable.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CSAUG2013 Good location and value for the price; but Customer Service needs improvement
We stayed in this hotel using our accumulated air miles, the receptionist treated us very poorly, she was rude when asked if the room included breakfast she said out loud "Don't you read your reservation? No there is no breakfast" I thought that a simple "No Mr. Sanchez" would suffice, but to our surprise as being a member of the IHG Rewards Club we were located on the 16th floor that had included the Breakfast. The receptionist should have known this and tell us. We had to ask the person in the area if the breakfast was paid, and he looked at us and said: "Of course! your're in the 16th floor" #strike 2#
The parking offered by the Hotel was more expensive than the actual price of the ticketed parking #$18 Crown Plaza Price vs. $11 Parking Price#, how can this be? we took the parking price of course.
Overall the installations were Ok, and the rooms were clean. Which is what we needed for our vacations in LA. But it would have been much better if the employees made you feel special and welcome, which is pretty much the expectation now a days.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Patsfan2006 Nice Hotel, but Checkin below average
I stayed at this hotel on business, when checking in with my coworkers the front desk personnel simply handed us our keys and walked away. Not even a "welcome to the Crowne Plaza" Most hotels welcome you upon arriving to the front desk, but in this case nothing of the sort. Additionally, as I called from my room to put my rewards card on my account for incidentals, the attendant literally argued with me as to why it doesn't make sense to do that. After a 5 minute conversation, I just walked down to the Front Desk again and had a different staff member put my rewards on my account. I found this little ordeal rather comical! The room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant provided excellent service and delicious food. I recommend the bar-b-q sandwich!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Johan777 No free wifi.
On same vacation we also stayed in Seattle's Crowne Plaza.
There was a big difference ...
In Seattle I was welcomed as priority member and as extra I got free wifi. All not asked for, but nice.
In LA I was offered à free drink. Told them... I'd rather have free internet but that was not possible.
Got the explantion that every Plaza does something else, as extra.
As an answer on my sentence 'but here I "need" internet to be able to check in for my flight', I got the wrong answer !
'Yes, 'they' know that, and that's the reason why they charge'
Minimum $14 what I recall.
Everybody needs to make money but this gave me a bad feeling.
note. Even the Travelodge nearby gives free wifi.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vj317 Restful but shuttle service was a nightmare
For the incident I am about to describe, I do have to say that the manager was there to offer his apologies as soon as we arrived at the hotel.
We waited close to an hour waiting for the transfers to pick us up. We called a total of 5 times to the hotel and the shuttle company. We were told the description of the bus, the color of the LED lights on the bus and the sign. But none came after several calls. I finally asked to be connect to the front desk who was puzzled by the shuttle came and left with out any one on it.
As it was late and we just flew from the East coast, my wife decided to call a cab but while hailing one, the shuttle bus that we have seen so many times come around had the right destination. My wife took the cab to the hotel while I took the shuttle. The problem was that they were running but had the wrong signage on; it was for other hotels they were also servicing.
It was very frustrating for the travelers like us especially when out plane landed at 1045PM and we did not get to the hotel until 100AM.
I do give excellent reviews for the hotel and I know that the shuttle services were not directly under their control but what a tiring and annoying experience it was for me and my wife.

I only stayed for one night but was very happy with my experience. The hotel was very clean and updated and the customer service was excellent. Ralph, the night manager, was very accommodating when I requested a late check out. I will be staying here next time I'm in L.A.

During a recent stay at this hotel I found when I finally got home I had left my bag in my room. Upon caling the hotel I received excellent service in the recovery of my property. The staff was concerned and acted swiftly in getting me my bag the following day, which was a Saturday. The staff guided me through all the inital steps to recover my property. They all were courteous and professional.
Thanks to this hotel I may be staying there more often when I'm in the LA area.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SuperSub Beware the unfriendly staff
My husband has ambassador status with this hotel chain as he stays at Crowne Plaza's world wide. However, this particular Crowne Plaza I would not recommend. We arrived late at night. No one was in the rope line to check in so naturally we gravitated toward the shortest line, normally for Ambassador status guests. However, on this particular night the young lady at the front desk rudely told us to get out of line and follow the rope maize even though no other guests were in line. When we were allowed to check in we were awarded with one bottle of water for two guests and one free drink coupon. They really know how to treat their guests!!!!!!!!!! Customer service not this hotels forte.

We were made to feel very special on both July 29th, which was the start of our vacation, and again upon our return on August 14th. Your staff and accommodations are very good and gave us piece of mind leaving our car while we flew out of LAX for 14 days

We were not pleased that in a high end property that we were expected to pay an additional $14.95 per day for wifi. Many hotels offer it for free for guests. Next time we will check to see if you have changed your policy before booking.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SusanRN Very nice hotel
Our stay at the hotel was very nice. The room was excellent, the bed and pillows comfortable, and checkout was a breeze. My one complaint is that there was no free WiFi available ANYWHERE in the hotel. Usually there is somewhere (for example the lobby) where one can get free WiFi, but here you have to either purchase WiFi to use anywhere in the hotel or purchase something from one of the food outlets (like the coffee shop) AND pay a service fee. I suppose for someone not on a budget that would be OK. It's the fact that they are charging extra for something that doesn't cost them that much that bothers me.

We usually stay here when we have to fly back to DC early in the morning. The shuttle can be counted on to run regularly and we always have a good meal at the brasserie. The rooms seem a bit smaller that at other Crowne Plaza's but we appreciate the great staff and location.

Good customer service by the event planner. Room/bed comfortable. Can hear opening/ closing of doors closeby. Had to request for ref and shower cap. Would like to have even just 1 bag of tea and a bottle of water. May have to cut tree by the roadside as it blocks the sign.
Overall, it was good.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza LAX for 4 nights. I booked 2 adjoining rooms and the staff was very accomodating. The bellman, the registration staff, dining room staff; all provided excellent service. The bed was comfortable, the only thing I didn't like was the bathroom and closet shared the same door.
I hope to return again and I will recommend the Crowne Plaza for future visits to Los Angeles.

Everything works great in the hotel, from check in to the free shuttle service. Only coffee and restaurant deserves to be expanded. The attention to the guest could be kinder. I forgot a suit jacket in the wardrobe room and never received any notification. Although not an obligation of the hotel would be nice attention to detail.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mark2001 Usually a good experiance
I have stayed at this property a few times. On this occasion, I had the extreme displeasure of finding a very dirty glass inside a wrapper in the bathroom indicating it had been washed. It hadn't. It was brown with dried residue and was to be frank, disgusting. I took the glass to the front desk and was assured a manager would contact me. No one ever did. Mistakes do happen, but not following up was inexcusable.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by BRPTM Too Busy Here
We only stayed here as a one night before returning home and had 2 rooms booked.
Please take this feed back in the manner that it is written and that is to give you some feedback from someone who spends more that 90 days a year in various hotel brands
The whole experience from checkin to checkout was totally all over the place.
1. Waiting to Check in.
went to the IHG Priority checkin, there was someone being served, there were other agents available at the front desk, yet no one else offered to check me in. Eventually the Team member who was checking in another IHG guest stopped serving the guest and asked if I was an IHG member. I said " Yes " she still did not ask another agent to help me. I waited for 20 minutes. This is not what I would expect from a 5 Star hotel and how a Platinum guest, in my opinion should be handled.
2. At Check in.
I was finally served and asked, which room type I would like " Upgraded, to the " Club Floor ". I explained the double. My room was upgraded to the Club Floor, level 16 and my other family members to level 15. Only after going to level 16 did I notice that the Club, was closed on weekends. It was then that my partner went downs stairs to explain and ask why this wasn't explained. I was expecting something in the evening as a snack. This was a let down.
Had it been explained to me that the " Club " was closed on a weekend this would not have been an issue for me.
2nd expectation not met.
As a side note to this, I found it most distracting that the team member kept talking to another team member about a previous check-in, while she was serving me. I found this to be most innapropriate.
3. Room Rate.
When I was about to sign the checkin slips for both rooms, I noticed that the room rate had increased by $30 per room. Luckily I had my confirmation from your website to show this rate.
The attendant changed the rate, " So she told me " it was only later we discovered the rate was still not correct, as the rate we were quoted included taxes. There were 3 front desk contacts made face to face, before this was finally sorted in our favor. On a positive note, I must say that the final Team member we spoke with, was most professional and apologetic. A breath of fresh air.
4. My Complimentary Beverage.
I was reminded at check in that as a Platinum member I was entitled to a " Complimentary " beverage, it told me to go to a certain location " The Bistro " to receive my either, coffee, house wine , or beer. Later I took my coupon to the " Bistro " area. and after waiting in line for another 20 minutes, I was told that I needed to go into the " Jazz bar " to receive my wine. So in I went and waited at the bar for another 10 minutes before, I want served. I gave up, and went to the front desk to explain about how the voucher was not clear., well she wasn't interested. Needless to say by this point I was bored and gave up. I did ask if she could organise for a glass of wine to be delivered to my room. She said " I don't think we can do that ".
Now I know this is a first world issue, " Not getting my free wine, not including tip " I'd rather not be given anything.
In my opinion there are some training issues here and gaps in service delivery, If this is what a Platinum IHG member receives.
The Bell Staff.
The team members that collected and delivered our bags were excellent and they work very hard. Job well done.

I had a room on the 14th floor which was a "Quiet Zone" floor. It was excellent! I really appreciated the earplugs that were included in my "welcome" amenities, but I never needed them, even in such close proximity to LAX. Very comfortable room, nice restaurant on sight and great room service. I'd stay here again next time I'm in town. Thanks.

We stayed overnight before we left for a flight out of LAX. Staff was great! Check in at the front desk was very smooth and fast. We were offered 2 complimentary beverages and upgraded to the club lounge which was very nice. Room was great, comfortable bed, and some nice amenities to help you sleep well. Great choice for a stay by the airport. Shuttle was fast and great amenity as well. Thank you!
