Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent staff and comfortable rooms Being a frequent business traveler to the area, the staff continually recognizes me and treats me just like a family member. The hotel is located very near our offices which makes it very convenient; the rooms are clean and comfortable and noise levels very low which makes it easy to rest at night. Having a restaurant with quality food and varied selection is an added bonus since I often don't want to "go out" somewhere after a long day at work although the hotel is in a convenient location with other areas of interest within a short driving distance. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleasant Experience We stayed only one night to attend a funeral but from check in to check out we had very good service. Stephanie in Sales came up to us in the morning to ask about our stay and when we told her it was a funeral, she immediately made sure we had gotten the best rate and everything was to our satisfaction. That was greatly appreciated since it was a very emotional day for us. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The WiFi was a little spotty but all in all we were extremely satisfied. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable bed, unsatisfactory service This hotel was chosen by my organization which booked a block of rooms. We had many problems with our participants booking their rooms, were told we could have only queen bedded rooms and some (myself) were given HANDICAP rooms which we did NOT request even though we booked well in advance. The insult of over $2.00 FOR A SINGLE CUP OF COFFEE, limited amenities (no luggage stand for suitcase, neither Microwave nor mini-fridge, no outlets for the iron (which did not work) and poor maid service pursuade me to suggest we find an alternate resource for our judges in future years.Further the only remedy offered by the polite desk employees was another free drink! While the employees I dealt with were very polite and apolegetic, the policies of management sidetracked their ability to offer any satisfactory remedies. May 29, 2014

Beds hard as rocks the blankets felt like towels and the sheets were like paper, customer service is a joke in this place I had to call 5 times to get extra shampoo and conditioner to my room took the 45 minutes . The hotel is hit as can be. The ac in the rooms barely work . The worse experience ever .!!!!!!!!!! May 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good value hotel but not good service at their diner Everything is good. I stayed there many nights during my project for the past couple months. They have better breakfast than their competitor next door the Courtyard. Yogi's Wednesday Prime Rib and BBQ Rib are the best around the area. However, their server at Yogi's is slow. We have to wait for our ordered drink for like 10 to 15 mins sometime. Last week we even have to waited about 40 mins for the servers to figure out our check. Beside that, overall is good experience to stay at the Crown. March 4, 2014

We had a King Suite which had a queen size pull out in the living area. It was perfect. The staff was very pleasant and helpful to anything we needed. The pool was warm and open until 11 pm which worked well for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. February 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Treatment like gold ... I mean platinum Welcoming was nice , I was offered coupons , drinks and snack , for which I didn't ask for or accept . How nice of them to offer . We are at the restaurant and although not gourmet it certainly was above average , fresh and the waitress met all my nits and picks . I am a life long chef and restaurant owner , so I can be difficult when not properly taken care of . However they were on the their game and I was very happy .This is my third visit in two weeks , with many hotels in the area only but this was and is my first pick for the area . February 8, 2014

The regular points for the stay have been deposited to the account. the bonus points are not. if you are going to have a registration bonus for members then follow through. this to me clearly shows inattention to detail. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Non-smoking room smelled of smoke` We stayed two nights. The first night was fine, but we had different neighbors the second night. We had a room with a door that connected to the adjacent room. The people next door were clearly smoking cigarettes and spraying air freshener to try to cover the smell. The smoke smell was so strong that it appeared as if the smoke was in our room. When we called the front desk, they said that they could not approach the guest unless we saw them in the hall smoking or something. The person would not even come to check out the situation. Instead, they wanted us to pack up and move to another room. December 30, 2013

The fitness center and pool were well maintained and easy to access. The room was well appointed, clean and nicely furnished. The hotel Director of Sales, was particularly helpful. The wedding party and all the guest were very happy with all the arrangements, from our rooms and suites to the private breakfast and the entertainment and setting in Yogi's bar. The shuttle service to and from the wedding ceremony, and all the planning that took place prior - all done by the hotel staff. Everything was fantastic. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Staff Due to a last minute business response in the Monroe, NJ area I found the Crowne Plaza right off the NJ turnpike exit. Special thanks to Tawfeq at the front desk for taking the time to get me and my team booked and checked in for a week. He was able to juggle the hotel's reservations to keep us in the same rooms for a week. I also appreciate that whenever I came in or left the hotel lobby, he would address me by name. It is sometimes these little touches that make a business trip and the stay at a hotel be more pleasant. Tawfeq also was very helpful when we needed directions and information for the local area. I appreciate the help and effort of your entire front desk staff in addressing the needs of my team for our entire stay at your hotel. They did a standup job !!! Made my first stay at your hotel a great and relaxing experience. I will definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza in Monroe, NJ if our team is ever in this area again !!! October 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff were great in a difficult situation We arrived after a 3 1/2 hour drive for a friend's wedding that was being held down the road. We arrived about an hour before check in time. Our room was not ready, and we didn't expect that it would be, however, the front desk found a room for us to use temporarily just to change and freshen up. We were in an extreme hurry due to traffic, but they made it happen. We had a very easy check in later in the evening when we returned from the wedding. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Staff Business brought me back to the Monroe, NJ area ... for my 4th visit. Not even a question ... Crowne Plaza was my only choice !!! This last minute business call lasted a week this time ... the Front desk staff once again rose to the challenge and went the extra mile to get me a hotel room for a week. Which was Not a easy task ... they had multiple events with weddings & other functions. The staff went out of their way to make my stay .... stress free !!! Special thanks to the front desk staff members - Tawfeq, Mike, Terry and Jessica. They were truly the best ... Professional and most of all ... friendly !!! Everyone that called got a different story(, we have one left, we have plenty in your block, better hurry we are running low). I had five rooms in my name under my credit card, I assigned 3 to specfic people. I was told on Thrusday that I had two rooms left under my name. So I gave one to another person in our group the room,That left me one , for myself, When I went to check in on Friday they said I didn't have a room , because they just gave my room to my son, who happens to be the III and I'm jr. He made his own reservation , but no one knows where it went . The room they gave him was under my address and credit card. He has a different address and credit card. And since they were sold out I was up the creek. If it wasn't for the girls in the group that said they would double up, I would have been without a room. My niece flew in from California ,she had reserved a room for Wedhesday, Thrusday, Friday, & Saturday. when they checked in they were told they only had a reservation for the first 3 days and not Saturday. They stayed at my house , on Saturday, what if they couldn't have stayed at my house. Their return flight was Sunday. Other people in the group had similar problems. You need to get your people talking to each other. First my daughter was told that if we had more than 20 rooms in the block booked, she would get the Bridle suite comp-ed. then it moved to 25 booked. We had 27 booked. On Thrusday I checked at the front desk about the comp-ed bridle suite, was told no problem, it's comp-ed. Get there Friday night and was told it's not comp-ed. After a few excited words the night manager came out and checked and said that it was comp-ed. Do you get an idea of what was going on. I also had a post wedding breakfast set up for Saturday, for 75 people, turned out to be 91, but that was fine I paid for the extras, That we agreed apon when we booked the breakfast. That went smooth. as was promised. And the food was very good.. One of the people in my block neded an extra pillow for a child, they charged them $10.00 for the pillow. So as you can see I spent a little money in your hotel. We shouldn't have had the problems that I had. October 8, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A good stay I can't be strict, because it was my first experience in states. Clean rooms, excellent "front desk" service and generally a good stay. Comparing to European hotels, in Europe u can find better hotels in this price, but as i said that was my first stay in states. The only negative part was the restaurant or "sport bar". Breakfast wasn t as rich as in Europe, and the service not the best... sometimes they gave me wrong plate(pasta was a problem there), or sometimes u find NOBODY there cause they re ALL in the kitchen and u have to wait about 5 minutes and etc...i never found out how the "happy hour" works, and the common problem for europeans, the tips....i went to some other restaurants and the food was cheaper and the service better....ok, i stop complaining now, all the rest was very good, but please guys, improve almost everything in the restaurant and then u ll deserve 5 stars... She can really multi-task, while checking in the phone was ringing regularly, she answered every call efficiently and never let me feel unattended. She's a keeper.
