Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SleeplessOnSecondFloor Second floor room over a very LOUD ballroom!
So four parties happening at once in the main floor ballrooms, and where do I get a room? Second floor…right above one of the parties! The music was so loud, the toilet in the bathroom was vibrating. Got in late and was leaving first thing the next morning, otherwise would have asked to be moved. Don't mind a good party, but would have been nice to have been given a room on an upper floor…I mean really. Have stayed here before and may consider it again, but I'll know better next time.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mykidsra1 Too many problems
Upon check in we were given keys that did not work. The in-room refrigerator did not work and was replaced. The room was very warm, 79 degrees, but after an adjustment of the HVAC the room went to 83 degrees. The bedside phone was nonfunctioning. And we found housekeeping to be rude. All in all, a very dissatisfying stay at a hotel we had enjoyed in the past. Probably will not be staying there again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GuySmiley Gem of a Hotel near Montreal Airport
My wife & I had to stay here after having our flight changed from a Sunday night to early Monday morning - while we arrived exhausted after a weekend in Montreal, the hospitality & service were outstanding at the hotel.
The room was very comfortable - modern, bathroom in great condition.
The only downside was the service in the lounge, which was shoddy. The front desk staff were excellent.

I definitely recommend Crown Plaza Hotel. The service was great, everybody was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the pool, the rooms are clean. And all the front desk staff are awesome, we were pleased with the way they treated us.

I've stayed at this CP twice now and it seems consistent with the CP standard. If you've stayed at one before, you'll know exactly what I mean.
Unless you know your way around MTL and have a car, or are checking in for one night pre-flight, I'm not sure I'd recommend this place as it is out of the way and there is nothing of interest nearby. It's in an industrial area and off the highway so most places are accessible with a car, but then you have to deal with parking wherever you end up, and construction depending on the season. Knowing your way around is helpful as the highway entrance nearby has a few arteries to choose from and if you end up on the wrong one, it could get annoying and time-consuming finding your way back.
I have only ever used the two-bed suite thanks to Platinum status upgrade and room availability, which is nice if you can get over the need for some touch-ups to the room #chips and scratches in walls, mouldings, furniture#. I am pretty sure I had the same room twice. The suite had the look of a typical condo with its dark, streamlined wood furniture. The room was spacious, equipped w/safe #mine was broken and never got fixed#; kitchenette w/mini-fridge, microwave, a couple of utensils and dishes, coffee maker; closet, iron&board, flat-screen TV with a few channels #nothing special but I don't watch much TV while away#. The hotel itself has a gym, a pool, and a bar, and offers free parking, and a shuttle service to the airport. While I did not use any of these facilities except the parking, they are all very useful offerings.
On this second visit, things were not as good as the first time around #Dec. 2011):
- comfortable room temperature was difficult to achieve: room was either too hot or totally freezing.
- despite CP pushing the whole Sleep Advantage program, there was no such thing this time and it's too bad because I find the little package to be very helpful. When I asked different staff at front desk for the aromatherapy pouch that CPs usually place in the room, no one seemed to know what I was talking about. I asked three different staff members and was eventually told someone would bring it to my room but never showed. On the plus side, staff were more friendly this time around.
- no front desk staff to be found during the night, which is not terribly comforting as anyone can come in off the street and loaf around anywhere inside the hotel. I went back to the hotel at different times each night (midnight and onward# and never found anyone manning the desk. Twice I waited over ten minutes and no one came. Better to just call downstairs if you need anything.
- toiletries and towels were not replaced or replenished
- DO NOT DISTURB sign was missing. When I called for one, they finally brought a tattered one that was on its last legs that I had to bend a few times so it would stay on the door handle.
**to top it off #though this has nothing to do with the hotel itself#, I had to change my original reservation but wasn't able to online--a little unusual as I was always able to do this before; when I called the reservations line to change the dates, I got a nasty woman who threatened that if I were to change my reservation later #but still prior to the checkin date), "too bad" and I would whatever payment I had made for the booking would not be refunded!
All in all, I would stay at this CP again if the price were right. Of course, you won't know if you will get an upgrade until you arrive, and whatever issues I had were manageable.

The location is great, it is very close to the airport.
The room is spacious, but all the decoration and amenities are old.

After a long overnight flight from the UK, with a late arrival, I was very much hoping that the accommodation element of my trip proved to be trouble free.In actual fact, it exceeded all expectations.
The shuttle bus was sent immediately upon my arrival at the airport and the driver was very friendly and courteous.
The front desk staff were exceptional and offered a very warm welcome which genuinely lifted my spirits. If any hotel around the world wants to learn how best to meet and greet its clients they would do well to look at the Crowne Plaza Montreal Airport for guidance.
The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Quite simply, I have nothing negative to say about this hotel and very much look forward to staying here again on my next trip across.
Congratulations to the management for running such an efficient and friendly hotel. First class!
