Adequate Newcastle stay

I wouldn't rate this hotel as a very good hotel, but as it is likely to be the best on offer in Newcastle I would recommend it to friends. Negatives were lack of sound protection (shared wall with shared door) and bad mattress (sunken in the middle). Positives were the location and staff were helpful.

Great facility, poor breakfast

My wife and I really like the hotel.
The room, staff and ambiance are terrific.
The big let-down is the buffet breakfast. All of the dishes are tepid, in fact the roasted tomatoes were still chilled in the centre!.
The only way of getting anything hot for breakfast was to have ones eggs made to order.
And to wait 45 minutes for a coffee just reflects the lack of a robust system in the breakfast room.
