we stay at crown plaza Niagara when my wife and myself want to get away for several days . we love the old feel of the hotel its clean and quiet and the food in the rainbow room is excellent

Wonderful location, central to everything and the view cannot be beat. Beautiful lobby, amazing restaurants and amenities... great history!

We will book this hotel again when we come back to Niagara Falls.

Poor Service

I reserved my stay at the Crowne Plaza for my friends and I. I originally made reservations for two rooms, one of which was to one of my friends and the second room would be shared between me and my 2 other friends (I Indicated this in my reservation details). The first room was actually upgraded to a bigger suite and I was very appreciative of that kind gesture of the hotel. That being said, the same thing couldn't be said to the second room. They added an additional bed which restricted our movement greatly. To go from one place to another in the room we would literally have to walk on top of the beds to get to the desired location in the room. This put me in an awkward situation with my friends as you could imagine. In addition to that, i arrived at the hotel around 1:30 pm and I was told that I would have to wait until 3:00 for the rooms to be ready. I understand this policy, but I was very shocked as they couldn't accommodate my tiredness from a very long trip that i had just ensued. As a IHG member, i would think that there would be some leeway in regards to this issue. That being said, at 3:00 i was called by the Hotel to tell me that only one of the rooms was available and they made me wait an additional thirty minutes to enter the second room. Another thing that was determent was the breakfast buffet. Which extremely poor for this type of hotel. (i.e. no french bred, no options for cheeses ect..) I asked the reception about how IHG members are giving complementary services (giving them water or drink or bonus points ect) and the reception had no idea about this gesture from the hotel which was very shocking to me to say the least.

Comfortable Bed is all

Long wait to check in,
No hotel parking - combined with public - had to go 9 flights to find a spot then take two elevators.
Crowded - oversold - dirty.
Must be better in the town.
