The hotel offered comfortable bedding, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the location was good in terms of proximity to main tourist attractions. We had to make a couple of phone calls to housekeeping for not leaving adequate amount of towels at the beginning of our week stay, after that we had no issue. The daytime concierge was extremely helpful - helped us plan some tours and directed us to some wonderful restaurants. Overall we had a very positive experience and would definitely return to the Crowne Plaza. May 9, 2014

There was "no signal" 90% of the time; therefore, made it difficult to watch the news or relax in the evening with my favorite TV shows. May 7, 2014

Our room was very well presented and above my expectations. The hotel staff were lovely but I would have to say the staff in the bar & restaurant weren't so good (need better customer skills and clearer speech). For the price, location and comfort I was definitely use your hotel again and recommend to fellow travelers. May 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb service We had a beautiful room on the 14th floor looking over the square. Apart from 2 days of the elevators not working properly we had a wonderful stay. The location is great for all the sights of Washington and there are many good restaurants in the area. I will stay here again when I come back to Washington. May 5, 2014

Bar & restaurant were excellent. Perfect for business or a personal vacation. I would stay again in a heart beat... Staff were exceptionally pleasant and courteous. May 3, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor customer service We arrived at midnight after almost a 7 hour dirve with our young daughter anxious for a good night's sleep. Upon arrival they told us our room was given away due to a credit card mishap. Which they made no effort to contact us prior to arrival to notify us. They said they didn't have our number, but they certainly had our email since I have received almost 6 emails from them since our original booking. So, we had to go stay at another hotel. Upon returning to the hotel the next day they only booked us for one night instead of two. So, after a full day of sightseeing we return to our room to find we are unable to get in. Seems they locked it with our stuff in it. So, we had to go back to lobby and try and straighten that mess out. We didn't find the staff over accomodating in any of these instances. In fact they seemed to be condenscending to the point of being rude. The elevators are painful. They are extremely solw and small. On an average day you will spend about 30 minutes waiting for elevators. Yes, you can walk but with a young child and after sightseeing all day that is the last thing you want to do is climb 10 flights of stairs. April 29, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad service Service was very poor, first I had called the location directly to see what amenities were at that location to make sure the hotel had what I wanted but I was told one thing and upon arrival learned what I was told was not true. This had a lot to do with why I picked this location. I have had to stay in other locations that were not great by no means because of no other hotels but the staff offered great service. Maybe if it was just myself that noticed the service I would not have said much about it but when the whole family seems to see it, I guess there's something. April 26, 2014

The breakfast buffet was very good and had a lot of variety to satisfy. They seemed a bit disorganized at check in, but promptly responded to our requests. We were here for a wedding and they forgot to give us our gift bag. I would stay here again. April 11, 2014

It was a great hotel in a very convenient location just a couple blocks from the McPherson metro station in Washington DC. Hotel room was beautiful and very comfortable. Staff was great. Great benefits came along with being a Platinum member of the Priority Club that I hadn't expected but LOVED. I would stay there again next time I am in the DC area. 14K restaurant attached was very good as well with a great happy hour (more like 4 hours) with food and drinks. All staff was great right down to a housekeeper who had the forethought to push the elevator button as she went by because she saw us coming. Way to make your guests feel special! April 10, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value but watch out for parking charges Overall, a good value. However, annoyingly, I was charged $45 for parking when I didn't even have a car. And, when I checked with others in our wedding party group I quickly found two others who also had parking charges when they had no car also. Hmm.........does the hotel automatically assume you have a car and therefore charge for parking and leave it up to the guest to catch this?? This was the only issue I had, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the attached restaurant had good breakfasts. Plus, the location can't be beat in terms of proximity to local attractions. April 9, 2014

Appreciate the chance to work out while on the road and with more equipment than the usual couple treadmills. A Starbucks in the lobby was handy and the staff were very nice. A good location as well. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One of the best hotels we've stayed at in years!!! Everything at this hotel was perfect!! I have also never been happier or felt so special to be a Priority Club member. We were unaware of the complimentary breakfast and evening appetizers for PC members, so that was a bonus! The free wireless internet for PC members was also very nice & it worked fine every day. Everything from the bed comfort, shower (lots of pressure & always hot), noise level (none), temp control, cleanliness of the room, TV to the other amenities like lobby Starbucks, decent restaurant with great happy hour and the very accommodating staff were ALL wonderful. We were on vacation & spent 6 nights at this property. We also loved the location. 1 block to the Metro, a park across the street and numerous other places w/in walking distance was fabulous. Thanks for a great experience. This is one of the main reasons why I will continue to be a PC member and be loyal to the brand. April 2, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel was a Very Nice Surprise I am a frequent business traveler to D.C. and stay in many different hotels. None has been particularly special relative to the others. Until now. This hotel very much surprised me from check-in on Monday through check-out on Thursday. I was warmly greeted and my IHG Rewards status was not only recognized, but rewarded with a treat bag, which was so very welcomed after a long flight and lack of dinner. The room was cleaner than any other hotel room that I've experienced in the D.C. area. The staff were also very friendly. Everyone seemed to go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. As a frequent guest at numerous hotels, I can tell you that this is not the norm. I will definitely stay at this location again. March 31, 2014

I have rarely stayed at a hotel where every staff member I encountered was helpful, friendly and professional - but that is exactly what I found at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza. From the front desk to the restaurant to the hallways, every single staff person was exceptional. The guest room was spotless and comfortable. The food in restaurant was served at the correct temperature and promptly and the service was superb. The staff in the lobby were professional and helpful, from check-in to helping me into a cab to the airport on my way home. The whole experience was exceptional. Thank you, Hamilton Crowne Plaza! They were really noisy and kept me awake most of that night. Though on other nights it was just peace and quiet, so overall very good. March 19, 2014

From check-in too check-out, my guest and I were surrounded by warming ambiance and impeccable service. Though the accommodations were a bit confining, the over-the-top service made up for it. Every employee that i came in contact with was pleasant and greeted me with a smile. I have stayed at a number of IHG properties, and I can honestly say that the Night Manger (Andre) and the Bartender of 14th & K (Cori) have been amongst the top 10 staff that I have ever encounter throughout the brand. In conclusion, this was my first stay at The Hamilton - Washington, DC. and I have committed to stay here at least once every two months until further notice. Great Job. March 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DC Vacation Stayed at this location for 3 nights. We arrived at 9:45 am and it was great that our room was ready. We were still able to get a light breakfast in the Executive Lounge. The employee that takes care of the Executive lounge breakfast was very friendly. I was looking for a diet coke vending machine and she immediately provided one free. Front desk and concierge was very friendly and helpful. Loved the on sight Starbucks. My only negative comment and this is minor, was that there was not lighter snacks available in the Executive Lounge on the weekends. The free appetizer from the restaurant was nice, but too much to eat if going out for dinner. But I do have to compliment them that since we were a family of four, the bar did provide 2 complimentary appetizers. This was a full meal for our teenagers. With the kid's fed, we (the parents) went out for dinner without them. Very nice!!!! Great city location and convenient to the Metro. March 12, 2014
